Hi Everyone! Wow! Is it already almost the end of October? Time is going by super fast!

Well, what have I been doing lately? ...Good question.

I haven't had a whole lot of time to myself. My husband was laid off about a little more than a month ago and when he's home I kind of need to spend time with him. But it's a good thing. We've been trying to get things done around here, trying to get things ready for winter.

We have TONS of firewood stacked up outside for when we need it. He brought load after load of wood inside too. He also had some jobs recently cutting down some big trees and brought all that good wood home too. He got to work right away on that wood. He rented a wood splitter and spent over 7 and a half hours splitting wood!

Then we got the swamp cooler cleaned out and covered it up real good for the winter. He did the blow out on our sprinkler system (and about 15 or more houses of some other people.) Then he went down into the crawl space and changed the furnace filter. We also had a carbon monoxide/smoke detector put in this summer. (Our son put that in for us. The batteries are checked and good. It took a little less than a week to get it all done. I was mostly in the supervisory position, the water bearer position, the official 'lunch is done' hollerer. (is that a real word? holler er. Official meaning: the one who hollers.) You get my drift. I went off for a little while in my mind thinking: "are things ever going back to (what used to be) normal, again?" These times can make everyone uneasy. We just have to remember to trust the Lord God during this. None of this is taking Him by surprise. He loves us so!*

Personally I choose to not celebrate Halloween.
I believe it is one wicked Helliday that the world would do better without.

For those who are going to let their kids go door to door,
You need to know what's lurking behind those doors.

I have a link to the National Sex Offender Registry. This website will show if there are pedophiles and perverts living near you or even on your own block.

Knowledge is power folks. This isn't Mr. Rogers neighborhood anymore, these days we have to be aware. For our kids sakes of course, but also for our own sakes. Be Safe.*

The next thing I have to share with you is a link to The Death Clock.

It's the internet's reminder that life is slipping away.

The death clock will remind you just how short life is.

(Don't take this too seriously guys, this is just for fun, but it is informative too!*)
