'A LONG TIME AGO'

I was walking down life's highway, a long time ago....

One day I saw a sign that read: "Heaven's Grocery Store."
As I got a little closer, the door came open wide,
and when I came to myself I was standing inside.
I saw a host of angels, they were standing everywhere.
One handed me a basket and said, "My child, shop with care."
Everything a Christian needed was in that grocery store,
and all that you couldn't carry, you could come back the next day for.
First I got some PATIENCE. Some LOVE was in the same row.
Further down was UNDERSTANDING (you need that wherever you go).
I got a box or two of WISDOM, and a bag or two of FAME.
I just couldn't miss the Holy Ghost (He was all around the place).
Then I stopped to get some STRENGTH and COURAGE to help me run this race.
By then my basket was getting full, I remembered I needed some GRACE.
I didn't forget SALVATION (for SALVATION, that was free)
I tried to get
enough of that to save both you and me.
Then I started up to the counter to pay my grocery bill,
for I thought that I had everything to do my Master's will.
As I went up the isle, I saw PRAYER. I just had to put that in.
For I knew that when I went outside, I'd run right into sin.
PEACE and JOY were plentiful, they were on the very last shelf.
SONGS and PRAISES were hanging near, so I just helped myself.
Then I said to the angel, "How much do I owe?"
He just looked at me and smiled and he said,
"Just take them wherever you go."
Again I looked at him and smiled and said,
"But how much do I really owe?"
Again he looked at me and smiled. He said,
"my child, JESUS paid your bill a long time ago."

Today is the very last day of 2007.
It's kind of breathtaking, thinking that there's a brand new year that will be starting! Free of mistakes, open wide to do wonderful things for the Lord and for my own life. What a gift from God! I really want to take advantage of what a new year offers. Well, thank you for being with me this year! Have a safe new year's holiday and .......I will see you
NEXT YEAR!!! Blessings!-Missygirl*

"It may be at morn, when the day is awaking,
When darkness through sunlight and shadow is breaking,
That Jesus will come, in the fullness of glory,
to receive from the world His own.

Oh joy, Oh delight, to go without dying,
No sickness, no sadness, no sorrow, no crying!
Caught up with the Lord in the clouds of glory
When He comes to receive from the world His own."
AMEN!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!

Happy Birthday Lord Jesus
with Love

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORD JESUS CHRIST!!!
*******************
Here we are at Christmas day once again! -What a beautiful morning this is! It's snowing really good right now. Snow on Christmas morn! What a beautiful gift from the Lord! Thank You Jesus!*
**********************

A growing number of churches are holding annual Blue Christmas services for those faced with grief and loss. The holiday season's emphasis on happiness and good cheer often makes people who are dealing with heartbreak feel even worse.
An Associated Press article quoted a pastor who described the Blue Christmas service as "an opportunity for people to come and be in the presence of God and acknowledge their grief and despair and loneliness and give it to God." One participant added, "And it's a good place to have a cry and no one will mind."
During the Christmas season, we often read Isaiah's prophecies of the coming Messiah who would be born of a virgin (Isa. 7:14) and called "Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace" (9:6) But perhaps we should also include the words of Isaiah 53: "He is...a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief....Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows....And by His stripes we are healed." (vv. 3-5) The psalmist reminds us that "[The Lord] heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3)
If you're hurting this Christmas, remember: Jesus came to save us, to help us, and to heal us. *************** -David McCausland

I included that previous paragraph to remind us to not forget those who might be alone today. Christmas time is a beautiful time of year, so let's make sure we help everyone feel it with us!
Have a Glorious Christmas day my friends! Blessings! -Missygirl*

"Joy to the world
the Lord is come!
Let earth receive
her king!"

KING JESUS. AMEN!

Greetings all! -21 days until Christmas 2007!

A few hours ago on the radio I was surprised to hear the radio announcer talking about where everyone can shop for their last minute gifts. Excuse me. It's only December 3rd. I'm working on my first minute gifts. Maybe I'm behind. Sometimes it does seem that the world is traveling at a faster pace than I. Oh well. Anyway...GOOD MORNING!!
Yesterday I put up the Christmas decorations in the house.
I also put up the tree. In an effort to save the earth's trees I put up an artificial one.
This past spring and summer I really noticed how much time (and water) it takes for a small tree to grow. I thought I'd live 'green' and let one more tree live.

This whole upcoming election year has turned heinous already. I'm so sick of hearing trash talk from one candidate towards another. I'm sick of being told that my vote will have to be a choice between the best of two evils. I want to vote for 'The Best' and let God handle the rest!
I want to vote for someone who is a conservative and shares the same views that I have. Someone that really cares about the United States and has a love for it as our founding fathers did. I did find a candidate:
Mike Huckabee!
Conservatives are choosing him. His popularity is rising every day. I encourage you to check him out. You'll like what you find.

I wanted to share this with you:

KRAKATOA
In 1883, the greatest volcanic explosion in modern history took place.
Krakatoa, an island volcano
along the Indonesian arc, shot 6 cubic miles of soil, rock, vegetation, and animal and human life 24 miles up into the stratosphere. It's shock wave traveled around the world seven times, and its debris fell as far as Madagascar- more than 2,000 miles away! ~At the time of Krakatoa's explosion, Captain Sampson of the British vessel Norham Castle was nearby and wrote in his log: "I am writing this blind in pitch darkness.
We are under continual rain of pumice-stone and dust. So violent are the explosions that the ear-drums of over half my crew have been shattered...I am convinced that the Day of Judgment has come."
Captain Sampson believed that the world was coming to an end. The explosion does seem to fit 2 Peter 3:10; "The heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat." As terrible as Krakatoa was, though, it did not signal the end of the world.*
