Gaza militants fire Qassam rocket into Israel amid ongoing tensions

No injuries reported at strike which came less than a day after IDF forces bombed at least three targets in the coastal Strip.

By Haaretz Service

Militants in the Gaza Strip fired a Qassam rocket into the western Negev early Sunday, only a day after Israel Air Force jets bombed targets in the coastal enclave.

On Saturday, Israeli planes bombed at least three targets in the Gaza Strip, Gaza medics said. As a result of the strike, a Palestinian man and a seven-month-old girl were wounded, the medics said.

Medics said a strike launched on a Hamas national guard post in Rafah, a town near Gaza's border with Egypt, hit near a home and the baby was wounded in the head by shrapnel. The injury was not listed as serious and was described as slight.

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the attack, saying the IAF bombed a smuggling tunnel and two more terror targets in the southern Gaza Strip.

On Sunday, a Qassam rocket fired by Gaza militants exploded in the western Negev, landing at the Eshkol Regional Council. No injuries were reported.

Islamic Jihad had been blamed for a rocket fired on Wednesday from Gaza that struck the deepest in Israel since a Gaza war of two years ago, damaging a home in the city of Be'er Sheva.

One of the Grad rockets hit a house in a residential neighborhood. There were no injuries. •

IT'S NOT MAKE BELIEVE! The Devil wants us to think it is. The devil wants us to think the Rapture of the church is just a fairy tale story. But it's no made up story. It's true and It's going to happen.
Some people have asked me about the Tribulation. I tell them what I know. I show them what I've read in the Bible and elsewhere. They let me know that they shouldn't bother with even thinking about it because of Matthew 24:36! (But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels in Heaven, but My Father only).
I tell them YES....but read VERSE 33! (So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.)
So, I'm not setting any date! No one can do that, but every day I'm seeing these things like it said to notice, and I'm waiting for the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and in my book, there's not a thing wrong with that!
I just want everybody to be ready and waiting for Him too,
not to be scoffers, saying that it might happen, just not today.
Because no one can know! ♥

Can We Be In the Tribulation Already?
- Jack Kinsella - Omega Letter Editor – www.omegaletter.com
According to Bible prophecy, the antichrist builds his government on three main pillars of power; a global government, a global economy and a global religious system. All three must exist and be functioning prior to his arrival on the scene, since his time frame is limited to just 2,520 days.
The prophet Daniel says that the antichrist will be a prince of the people who destroyed the city and sanctuary; ". . . and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. . ." (Daniel 9:27)
That was accomplished by the Roman legions under the command of Titus in AD 70.
Daniel says this coming Roman 'prince' will confirm a seven-year covenant between Israel and 'many' that results an a period of peace and safety for the Jews of Israel.
Two things to note about this covenant. First, note the context. This is about Israel's future. Not about the antichrist. In this context, he is a supporting player, not the object of the prophecy.
The fact the antichrist confirms a covenant 'with many' would be irrelevant if Israel were not the other principal to this covenant. An agreement in which Israel plays any lesser role cannot be Daniel's covenant.
The second thing to note is that this covenant must already exist in some form. One cannot 'confirm' that which does not exist. This is not a newly-negotiated covenant cooked up by the antichrist to include Israel among the many.
It is a confirmation of a previously existing agreement. There is but one failed seven-year agreement involving Israel, the revived Roman empire and 'many'.
That is the Oslo agreement, initially negotiated to run exactly seven years, negotiated between the State of Israel and Yasser Arafat on behalf of the Palestinian 'people' under the supervision of the Europeans.
The Oslo formula of 'land for peace' remains the foundation upon which any future agreement will be built. Every effort since has built on the efforts of Oslo.
Once Daniel's covenant is confirmed, Temple worship will be restored, which requires Israel to somehow recover possession of Temple Mount. We know that it must be restored because mid-way through the Tribulation Period, the antichrist suspends Temple worship.
"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate." (Daniel 9:27)
Any covenant negotiated with Israel that does not leave Israel in possession of Temple Mount and provides for the restoration of Temple worship is NOT the covenant of Daniel 9:27.
How can I say so with such confidence? Because the covenant of Daniel 9:27 is the one that starts the clock ticking.
From the signing of that confirmation of the covenant until the return of Christ at Armageddon is 2,520 literal days. If that covenant were already in place, then the antichrist would already be in power.
Except that at some point before he could BE the antichrist, he must first recover from a deadly head wound.
"And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." (Revelation 13:3)
It is AFTER his deadly wound is healed, that John says, "And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?"
So, the antichrist, having been healed from a deadly wound, is acclaimed by the whole world for this apparent miracle. John says that, AFTER this takes place;
"And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months."
Let's stop there and summarize. First, the covenant, confirmed by a prince of Rome. Then the head wound. Then he is acclaimed as worthy of worship as a god.
Then he is given power to mesmerize the population with a supernaturally gifted 'mouth speaking great things and blasphemies' -- and this power lasts for forty-two months (1,260 days or 3 1/2 years).
This is the first half of the Tribulation Period. If the antichrist were active and if we were now in the Tribulation, all this would already be in motion. None of it is as yet.
But let's pretend that we're in the Tribulation now. That means that within the next 1,260 days, a functioning global government capable of ordering mass executions for political purposes must be fully in power.
"And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." Notice this power isn't given him over just Europeans. Or just over the nations around the Mediterranean.
It is over ALL 'kindreds' (families) tongues (languages) and nations (ethnicities)
Anybody care to guess what the word translated into English as 'all' means in the original Greek? (Give up? Ok. It means, 'all').
That power is, after forty-two months, fully developed and operational. Then, the second beast takes his place onstage.
"And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon." (Revelation 13:11) This second beast is a counterfeit prophet, one who has the appearance of Christianity, but who openly teaches the worship of the first beast (the antichrist).
"And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed."
This second beast will be Satanically energized with supernatural powers. "And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, "(Revelation 13:12-13)
Now, I want to stop here again. We are just now at the mid-point of the Tribulation -- it started 3 1/2 years ago with the confirmation of the covenant with Israel and the healing of the first beast's deadly wound.
What must also exist by this point?
Obviously, a global religious system, since there is a global religious leader with the power to condemn apostates to death. So if the Tribulation were to begin tomorrow, say, then within the next 42 months, a new system would have to replace both Christianity and Judaism.
According to the Bible, the persecution of Christians and Jews would be global, bloody and with the enthusiastic cooperation of the global population.
Like most of you, I can see all that coming. But it isn't here.
The third pillar in the antichrist's government is a global economy that is tied to both the global religious system and the global government. All three are administered by the same overall authority.
All three must not only exist, but they must be fully operational within three and one half years of the covenant that restores Temple worship to Israel.
Because three and one half years after Israel's Temple worship is restored, it must then be taken away, signaling the onset of the "Great Tribulation" in which three quarters of mankind die from the plagues and judgments that fall upon an unrepentant human race.
There are some Christians who believe we are already in the early part of the Tribulation Period now and that the current head of the EU/WEU, Javier Solana, is the antichrist.
For that to be true, then, Israel must be in a period of peace and safety right now.
The covenant must be in full force, the Jews of Israel must be in possession of the Temple Mount and the Jewish priests must now be offering legitimate sacrifices to God in a ritually cleansed Temple.
That means the ashes of a pure red heifer must already have been found and sprinkled to cleanse the Holy of Holies after two millennia of desecration.
Within the next forty-two months, the false prophet must convince everybody on earth except the Jews to worship the beast.
By the mid-point of the Tribulation, the global economy will be tied to a mark in the right hand or forehead without which no man could buy or sell.
So within 1260 days, all cash transactions must cease to exist.
Within forty-two months, all Christians and Jews the world over will be hunted down and ultimately executed if they refuse to take the Mark of the Beast.
Problem: Even with Satan's enthusiastic cooperation, there isn't enough time. You can't get there from here.
The covenant has not been confirmed and Israel is not living in peace and safety. Temple worship has not been restored and al-Aqsa remains standing atop the Holy of Holies.
There is no functioning global religion. There is no functioning global religious authority. As long as there are Christians and Jews, there can NEVER be a universally acceptable global religious authority.
The global economy is outside of any one nation's control, let alone the control of one man. Cash makes global control impossible. And a universal currency would take a lot longer than 42 months from now to implement.
That is not to say that the Rapture couldn't take place tomorrow. The Rapture of the Church is an event INDEPENDENT of the Tribulation Period. They are not 'bookends'.
The Rapture is the conclusion of the Age of Grace. It is when Jesus comes to retrieve His Bride from the earth. The Tribulation is the resumption of the Final Week of the Law. They are as separate as distinct as Pentecost is from the Destruction of the Temple forty years later.
Since the Holy Spirit indwells the Church, when the Bride is retrieved, His earthly ministry concludes, just as Jesus' earthly ministry concluded at the Ascension.
Temple worship didn't cease on the day the Church Age began -- it continued another forty years before Titus.
The Rapture of the Church could take place tomorrow and the Tribulation Period could still be a decade or more into the future. Maybe two decades. However long it takes. The two are independent events.
That is why we, as Christians, are not charged with watching for the antichrist. We are given details concerning the coming of antichrist because, if we can hear his approaching footsteps, we can know that the time of our deliverance is even closer.
The signs of the times were given for the lost -- the saved don't need them -- except as witnessing tools.
The Tribulation period is close. No doubt about it. What does it mean to the Church? It means the Rapture is closer.
"And when these things BEGIN to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh," Jesus said. (Luke 21:28)
At the beginning. Not at the end. •

†♥GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE
~* A Generation Called To Set This World On Fire*~

Showdown in the Middle East: Iran, Israel, & End-Times Prophecy

Surely you have been hearing about what is going on right now in the Middle East, but have you considered the import of it all? God is shaking up the entire region—from Libya to Iran—to accomplish His kingdom plan. Based on how He has been aligning at least seven key factors (see my December 31 blog, entitled, "Could 2011 Be the Year? Seven Signs of the End Times"), it appears that this is all a part of His alignment with end-times prophecy. In fact, when the dust all settles on the Middle East shake-up, I predict we will see a Middle East that will be much more open toward serious negotiations with Israel on a regional treaty. That treaty will be the end-times treaty, as it will be the one that convinces Israel—and the world—that it will achieve "peace and security"—regionally and globally. Thus, this Middle East shake-up is part of God's plan to align the region with an end-times treaty with Israel and with a brief period in which world leaders will believe "peace and security" has, at long last, been achieved. (So, in the near future, when the media proclaim that we have entered a new world; we will know better. But we will also realize Christ's coming for us is very near.)
However, before "peace and security" can be believed, and before a regional treaty with Israel can be realized, something dramatic will need to occur with Iran. After all, Iranian leadership (particularly spiritual leader Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad) is on a focused quest to dominate the Middle East and eliminate the Jewish state. Why? To Khamenei and Ahmadinejad, these goals are simply two steps toward achieving the greater end, which is to introduce the Twelfth Imam (the Mahdi, the Muslim Messiah) to the world.
Both of these Iranian leaders believe they have direct communication with the Mahdi, and they fervently believe the Mahdi has directed them to be his forerunners, preparing his way. But before they can introduce the Mahdi—in addition to dominating the Middle East and destroying Israel—global chaos must arrive, as communicated by the Haddith (Islamic writings). When global chaos occurs, the Mahdi (according to the Haddith) will step onto the world stage and bring the entire world under submission to Islam, at which point, peace and harmony will be the global experience.
What is the best means for creating global chaos? Ah, yes, nuclear weaponry. In fact, that is an excellent tool for bringing the Middle East under submission to Iran, as well as for destroying Israel.
This is why the Iranian regime has been racing toward nuclear capability. And because the Iranian leadership is driven by religious fervency, no amount of offers to negotiate or pressure from international sanctions has slowed down the regime from its race toward nukes. So what is the answer? A military strike.
Since it does not appear that the current U.S. administration will take that path, Israel must. Within the past few months, the Quartet's (the U.S., the U.N., the E.U., and Russia) envoy to the Middle East, Tony Blair, stated, "Personally, I think Israel would not allow Iran to get nuclear weapons." Certainly, Israel would need to strike before Iran acquires nuclear capability, which could be by the end of this year. However, an attack may need to occur even sooner, as Iran is ratcheting up the tension in the Middle East, and particularly with Israel.
Late last week, Iran threatened to send its warships through the Suez Canal and up the Mediterranean coast alongside of Israel. After Israel threatened that it could not allow Iranian warships to enter the canal, it appeared that Iran backed down and turned the ships around. However, that was a ruse. A report broke today (Sunday) that Iran sent two warships through the Suez Canal, which are now in the Mediterranean Sea headed toward Syria. Fake delay tactics were used as cover, along with a major sandstorm in Egypt that hid the ships from spy satellite display.
The ships are reportedly carrying long-range missiles for Hizbullah, the terrorist group to the north of Israel, controlling Lebanon. Hizbullah is dedicated to the destruction of Israel and has tried to take down the Jewish state before. This terrorist army has already amassed more than 40,000 missiles and rockets; but, now, with long-range missiles, Hizbullah will be able to strike every city in Israel. And there is a possibility that when Hizbullah strikes again, they could be joined by Hamas (also supplied with missiles and rockets from Iran) and Syria, making it a three-pronged approach against the Jewish state, one that would be a nightmare scenario for Israeli citizen.
So can Israel afford to let those ships arrive at Syria, where they will be unloaded and taken across the border of Lebanon to be put into the hands of Hizbullah? Certainly, there must be talk, as I write this, among the Israeli leadership about the possibility of either attacking those ships or of going after the Iranian regime.
After all, the government of Iran is under attack—by its own people, who have turned out by the tens of thousands to risk their lives to take down that regime. This growing opposition movement, which seems to have moved into the military and into government ranks, is a real threat to Ahmadinejad and is likely the reason he decided to send the warships on their way. He may be seeking to distract the movement by demonstrating he is their hero, the one who can thumb his nose at the U.S. and Israel and see them back down. But will Israel back down? Not likely.
So if Israel were to attack Iran, the opposition movement would likely take advantage of the resulting chaos (two can play the chaos game) and take down that regime. If that occurs, the Middle East would change in a huge way, and that change would likely affect the upheaval occurring at this time. That regime change would adversely affect all terrorist entities in the Middle East and would likely embolden those fighting for democracy. In addition, it would most likely result in a Middle East that is much more open to seriously negotiating a treaty with Israel and, to the world at large, would look much more like it was beginning to achieve "peace and security".
Will it happen that way? We will have to wait and see, but it would certainly line up with end-times Biblical prophecy if it did.
Keep looking up!

In sharp reversal, U.S. agrees to rebuke Israel in Security Council

Posted By Colum Lynch

The U.S. informed Arab governments Tuesday that it will support a U.N. Security Council statement reaffirming that the 15-nation body "does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity," a move aimed at avoiding the prospect of having to veto a stronger Palestinian resolution calling the settlements illegal.

But the Palestinians rejected the American offer following a meeting late Wednesday of Arab representatives and said it is planning to press for a vote on its resolution on Friday, according to officials familar with the issue. The decision to reject the American offer raised the prospect that the Obama adminstration will cast its first ever veto in the U.N. Security Council.

Still, the U.S. offer signaled a renewed willingness to seek a way out of the current impasse, even if it requires breaking with Israel and joining others in the council in sending a strong message to its key ally to stop its construction of new settlements. U.S. officials were not available for comment, but two Security Council diplomats confirmed the proposal.

The Palestinian delegation, along with Lebanon, the Security Council's only Arab member state, asked the council's president late Wednesday to schedule a meeting for Friday. But it remained unclear whether the Palestinian move today to reject the U.S. offer is simply a negotiating tactic aimed at extracting a better deal from Washington.

Susan E. Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, outlined the new U.S. offer in a closed door meeting on Tuesday with the Arab Group, a bloc of Arab countries from North Africa and the Middle East. In exchange for scuttling the Palestinian resolution, the United States would support the council statement, consider supporting a U.N. Security Council visit to the Middle East, the first since 1979, and commit to supporting strong language criticizing Israel's settlement policies in a future statement by the Middle East Quartet.

The U.S.-backed draft statement -- which was first reported by Al Hurra -- was obtained by Turtle Bay. In it, the Security Council "expresses its strong opposition to any unilateral actions by any party, which cannot prejudge the outcome of negotiations and will not be recognized by the international community, and reaffirms that it does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity, which is a serious obstacle to the peace process." The statement also condemns "all forms of violence, including rocket fire from Gaza, and stresses the need for calm and security for both peoples."

U.S. officials argue that the only way to resolve the Middle East conflict is through direct negotiations involving Israel and the Palestinians. For weeks, the Obama administration has refused to negotiate with the Palestinians on a resolution condemning the settlements as illegal, signaling that they would likely veto it if it were put to a vote. The Palestinians were planning to put the resolution to a vote later this week. But Security Council statements of the sort currently under consideration are voted on the bases of consensus in the 15-nation council.

The United States has, however, been isolated in the 15-nation council. Virtually all 14 other member states are prepared to support the Palestinian resolution, according to council diplomats. A U.N. Security Council resolution generally carries greater political and legal force than a statement from the council's president.

The U.S. concession comes as the Middle East is facing a massive wave of popular demonstrations that have brought down the leaders of Tunisia and Egypt and are posing a challenge to governments in Algeria, Bahrain, and Iran. •

Current Alert:

Obama’s refusal to secure our borders and come to grips with the drug wars in Mexico is continuing to have deadly effects. Special Agents Jaime Zapata and Victor Avila Jr were assigned to protect the US Embassy in Mexico City. On Tuesday, they were driving down Mexican Highway 57 in a bullet proof Chevy Suburban with diplomatic plates. Two SUVs filled with Cartel members ambushed them and forced them off the road. They showed their diplomatic papers, but this did not help them. The cartel thugs shot indiscriminately through the crack in the window, hitting Zapata several times in the abdomen and Avila twice in the leg. Zapata was killed. Mexican police recovered 83 bullet casings. These brave agents were made defenseless because the Mexican government will not allow American law enforcement officers to bring their guns in Mexico even when they are simply traveling to the embassy. •

It's been talked about for a long time and many people say because of that, it will never happen; Some
refuse to talk about it or even want to think about it.
Even some church goers.

It's gonna happen and the time is getting short.
It's called the Rapture.
Don't read this if you don't want to, just remember where you saw it, in case after people are missing, you start thinking that you at least could have listened.
What if I was wrong?... you ask. What do I do now?

This will help you:

Multitudes Missing - By Grant Phillips – www.raptureready.com
Multitudes of people have vanished. The President has probably announced that UFOs have been spotted, and aliens have removed certain people from the earth. He may say something like “those removed were right-wing hate mongers, who had no love nor compassion for their fellow-man, emphasizing that they were stubborn and intolerant toward others, holding mankind back from being a one-world society, united in love.” Others have come out to support his claim; aerospace leaders, Hollywood spoke-persons, news agencies, Congress, even many church leaders.
You’re scared, because something doesn’t make sense. If all they say is true, what about the children and babies? They don’t fit in with the government’s explanation. What really happened?
You’re searching the Internet now, looking for possible answers that the government isn’t providing. The Internet is very slow today. Many others must have the same idea. You’ve also heard rumors that the government is in the process of blocking certain areas of the Internet. You need to hurry.
Now, the truth. The stories your Grandmother told you about a Rapture are true, except they weren’t stories. It happened. God removed His own people, true Christians, from the earth, and now all left behind must endure tremendous hardship. The period of history you are about to go through will last seven years. It is called the Tribulation, and will be a hell on earth, especially the latter half, called the Great Tribulation.
If you have access to a book we Christians called our “Bible”, you need to read the section in the Bible called “John”. This section, or book, within the Bible will tell you about God’s Son, Jesus, who can give you everlasting life. In the third chapter, verse sixteen, Jesus says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Also read another part in our Bible. It is in “Ephesians”. Read chapter two, verses eight and nine. It says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
If you will put your life in God’s hands now, by trusting Him through faith, He will be with you in this terrible time you are entering, and give to you the everlasting life He promised. At some point during these seven years, you will probably be killed, but the real you, your soul, will be saved. You will be with the rest of us in Heaven with Jesus. There were no UFOs, only Jesus who came for His own. You were left behind because you were not His at that time. You can be His now though, if you ask Him to save you now. This is your only hope. The last half of this Tribulation period will be much, much worse than what you are currently experiencing. Do not delay.
Hopefully you have listened and placed your trust in Jesus. Read next another book in our Bible called “Revelation”. We who disappeared have been warning others for years that this very thing was going to happen, and soon. You have been left behind, but you do not have to be left out.
Hopefully, at this point you have called out to God for Jesus to save you, and are trusting Him completely to bring you through this ordeal.
Times are not going to be easy for you, and in fact, they will get exponentially worse until Jesus comes back in what is called His Second Coming at the end of this Tribulation period. Regardless of the severity of your suffering, do not take the mark of the world ruler (you will know what that is). Even if it costs you your life, and it probably will, do not give in. Jesus warns in His Word, the Bible, “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28)
Satan and his followers, such as your world ruler that is called the Antichrist in the Bible, can only kill your body, but they cannot kill your soul. However, God can destroy both your body and soul in hell. (Matthew 10:28) The God of the Bible is the only one you need to fear, but there is no fear if you are on His side. He will bring you through this terrible time. He will provide for you the courage you need while you lean on Him.
The Apostle Paul went through horrible hardship while he was upon this earth, even to the point of being killed by his persecutors. The Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, gave him strength every day, and took him home to Heaven upon His death. I leave you with his words. May you draw strength from them. He said in Philippians 4:11-13, “Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to get along happily whether I have much or little. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need.” (this is from the NewLivingTranslation of the Bible.)

Israeli PM: Arab world undergoing 'earthquake'

Published February 14, 2011 - Associated Press

Israel's prime minister said Monday that an "earthquake" is under way in the Arab world but that he "hopes for the best."

Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel hopes to strengthen its existing peace agreements and sign new ones, but remains "prepared for any possibility," referring to the unrest in the region including the toppling of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak by popular protests.

Israel and Egypt signed a peace agreement in 1979. The accord has been a lynchpin of regional stability for three decades. After forcing Mubarak to step down, Egypt's ruling military council said over the weekend that it would honor the accord — easing jitters in Israel.

Netanyahu spoke at a ceremony where Israel's new military chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Banny Gantz, assumed command.

At a convention of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations later in Jerusalem, the general Gantz replaced, Gabi Ashkenazi, said that the treaty was likely to be preserved, but Israel's military is prepared in the event that it is abrogated.

"We have planned for this situation," he said. "We've thought about such scenarios."

The treaty allowed the Israeli military to drastically thin out its troops along the long desert border with Egypt. Any change in the status of Israel-Egypt relations would require a major realignment of Israeli forces.•

Temple Institute Publishes Blueprints for Third Temple

The Temple Institute, an organization which has tasked itself with preparing for the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem, has published the first set of blueprints for a small part of the building. Architects have completed work on an area known as the 'Chamber of Hewn Stone', the place where the 71 members of the Sanhedrin are to sit.

The Sanhedrin is a religious council that is made up of 71 of the most learned Jewish scholars in the land of Israel. The Sanhedrin, which presided over the trial of the Lord Jesus Christ, was dissolved in the year 358 AD. The council was officially reconvened on the 13th of October, 2004. Often in direct opposition to government policy, they have taken on various projects, such as planning for the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple and anointing a king to replace the democratically elected Knesset. They have in the past attempted to reinstate the sacrificial system, which the Bible prophesies will recommence just prior to or during the tribulation period (Daniel 9:27).
"No land can be prepared, no foundation can be laid, no wall can be erected without a detailed architectural plan first being drawn up, approved by engineers and presented to the appointed site manager. The plans you are viewing on this page fulfill every requirement necessary for the immediate commencement of work on this aspect of the Holy Temple complex.

The Sanhedrin Chamber of Hewn Stone is but a single chamber in the northern wall of the Holy Temple. It was chosen as the initial focus of the blueprint project, not because of its architectural significance, per se, but because of its overwhelming spiritual significance to the world. The seventy elders of the Sanhedrin have been vested with the authority of the seventy elders whom G-d commanded Moshe to appoint in the desert:
"Then HaShem said to Moses, 'Assemble for Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the people's elders and officers, and you shall take them to the Tent of Meeting, and they shall stand there with You. I will come down and speak with you there, and I will increase the spirit that is upon you and bestow it upon them. Then they will bear the burden of the people with you so that you need not bear it alone.'" (Numbers 11:16-17)
It is of course easy to be critical of the Sanhedrin. It is true that they did preside over the crucifixion of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. But there were members among the Sanhedrin who did believe, such as Joseph of Arimathaea, who did not consent unto the counsel and deed of them (Luke 23:50-51). And Caiaphas, the high priest, whether a believer or not, did prophesy that one man should die for the people that the nation perish not (John 11:49-50).

But as you can see from what is happening today, this rebuilding of the Temple is being done in unbelief. The very fact that the Sanhedrin have focused their attention on designing the building where they will sit, rather than on God's dwelling place, shows just how full of self-importance they are. It seems that even God Himself must take second place to them.

Reading the article by the Temple Institute on the relevant Scripture portion in Exodus 25:8, they speak of how Moses was amazed that the Creator of the universe should desire to dwell in a house made with hands, and how the nation should be ready and willing to build the Temple in our days. But they are willingly ignorant of the fact that Lord went much further than that. For He came into the world that He had created (John 1:10). He "made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men" (Philippians 2:7). Praise God that He ever came. And John adds, "the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth" (John 1:14). What grace and glory the Temple of the Son of God displayed here on earth compared to the monstrosities now being engineered by man!

The Lord referred to the Temple on three separate occasions throughout His earthly ministry. On the first occasion, when He drove the moneychangers out of the Temple, He said, "make not my Father's house an house of merchandise" (John 2:16). On the second occasion the Lord says, "It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves" (Matthew 21:13). On the third and final occasion, it was no longer the 'Father's house' or 'My house', but 'your house':
"Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord" (Luke 13:35).
The same mindset still exists in the Sanhedrin today. This is still very much 'their house', and it will remain desolate until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. This will be the house that the Antichrist will eventually defile during the tribulation period (2nd Thessalonians 2:4). Only when the Jewish people recognize the Lord Jesus as their Messiah, will the Lord return and set up His kingdom (Zechariah 12:10).

Praise God that we are alive to witness these events coming to pass. How close must be the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. At His first coming, John records that "He came unto his own, and his own received him not" (John 1:11). The Jewish Sanhedrin and the nation in general did not recognize Christ at His first coming. But the Bible says that "as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John 1:12). Have your sins been forgiven? Have you believed on Jesus Christ for salvation? He came into this world the first time that He might "put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself" (Hebrews 9:26). And Hebrews 9:28 promises that "unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation". Don't wait until it's too late. Turn away from your sin, and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation today.•

Mubarak Resigns; Egyptian Streets Erupt in Cheers

Feb 11, 2011 – 12:12 PM

Hosni Mubarak resigned as Egyptian president today and handed control to the military, driven from the top after 30 years of autocratic rule.

Seconds after the nationally televised announcement by Vice President Omar Suleiman, celebrations broke out in Cairo's central Tahrir Square, ground zero of the protest movement, which was packed with some 250,000 protesters. They greeted the news with shouts of "Egypt is free! Egypt is free!"

Car horns honked and people waved Egyptian flags, sang the national anthem and danced in conga lines.

"The Egyptian people made history today!" Hala Abdel Razik, a retired English teacher, told AOL News' Sarah Topol in Tahrir Square. "We still have a long way to go to fix things. We have to start all over again. It's the young people's role, with the help of older people. We're open to new scenarios."

Nobel Peace laureate and pro-democracy campaigner Mohammed ElBaradei said it was the "greatest" day of his life. "The country has been liberated after decades of repression," the former head of the International Atomic Energy Agency said, according to The Associated Press. He said he hoped for a "beautiful" transfer of power.

Mubarak had desperately attempted to cling to power over the past 18 days of continuous protests. He had offered pro-democracy campaigners numerous concessions, including not running in elections in September. On Thursday, after word spread that he would resign, he went on national TV and announced he was handing only some of his powers to Suleiman.

But a surge in protests today apparently helped force the military to finally boot the 82-year-old autocrat from office. Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators gathered in city squares across the nation and -- for the first since the protests began -- staged rallies outside the president's many palaces.

Activists also besieged the building that houses state TV and radio in Cairo, in an attempt to end its broadcast of round-the-clock Mubarak propaganda. More than 1,000 people had formed a human barricade in front of the building.

Throughout it all, the military stood by, guarding key pieces of infrastructure but keeping its earlier promise not to fire on protesters.

Before the resignation, demonstrators for the first time staged rallies outside the president's many palaces today. Reports by the BBC and Reuters said Mubarak had left Cairo for his seaside palace at the Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh, far from the angry crowds in the capital.

"What are you waiting for?" one protester yelled at soldiers stationed outside Mubarak's main residence, Oruba, in northern Cairo, according to The Associated Press. "Did you sign an oath and pledge your allegiance to the president or the people?" shouted another member of the 1,000-strong crowd.

Tahrir Square was crammed with a crowd that rivaled the quarter-million figure of the biggest protests over the past 18 days. And at least 100,000 people had gathered in the main square of Egypt's second biggest city, Alexandria.

Hours before Mubarak's resignation, the armed forces offered their firm backing for Mubarak in a statement issued at midday. In "Communique No. 2," the Armed Forces Supreme Council -- a group of top generals -- backed the partial transfer of power.

The announcement promised that the much-hated emergency laws that have been in force since Egypt's authoritarian ruler took power in 1981 after Anwar Sadat's assassination -- and which give police almost unlimited powers of arrest -- would be scrapped once protests ended.

The armed forces also declared that they would support "legislative amendments required to conduct a free and honest presidential election," and called on protesters to return to work and "preserve the interests and property of our great people."

Although the future was not known, jubilation ruled for the moment.

"I'm excited, euphoric!" Nirvana Said, a training manager who has camped out in Tahrir Square since Jan. 25, told AOL News' Topol. "Now that the military controls everything, there will be no people on the square tomorrow. It's finished!" •

Mubarak’s departure & What it means

Pro-democracy protesters celebrated in cities across Egypt on Friday after forcing President Hosni Mubarak to step down. Mubarak, who had announced Thursday night in a televised speech that he would keep his title and give some of his authority to Vice President Omar Suleiman, suddenly handed over power to the military and left Cairo. (Latest developments)

Mubarak's resignation, which ends three decades of authoritarian rule, raises numerous questions about what led to his decision, what happens next and what the transition means. Here are some answers.

What does the change in Egypt mean for the United States?

Mubarak's resignation and the uncertainty facing Egypt are serious issues for American foreign policy. Mubarak's Egypt was a longstanding American ally that cooperated with the United States on a long list of issues, ranging from combating terrorism to assisting U.S. military operations in the Middle East to helping secure shipping lanes to facilitating Arab-Israeli negotiations. The tectonic shift going on in Egypt, and in the broader Middle East, may have dramatic effects on the future price of oil, the extent of American regional influence, Israeli security, and a host of other key questions. With Egypt in a state of transition, the United States might see some of its interests suffer and some remain secure. Whatever ultimately happens in Egypt, the process has only just begun. •

BREAKING NEWS ALERT - 08:34 AM Feb 10, 2011

breaking - Mubarak to step down

CAIRO - NBC News: Mubarak will step down tonight as the president of Egypt.

I was watching a news report yesterday on TV, it was an 'on the street report from Cairo' and they wanted the people's opinions about what was going on. An old man who could speak broken English, said that things had gone too far now. He said although a great number of the protesters would like to just back away and end everything, they feel that they have to carry it out to the end and wait for a change of power or Mubarak's people would kill them because they dared to stand up in the first place. He said they've promised no harm would come to them if they just quit, but he said they're liars and no one believes them.
The reporter asked, "You're really afraid they will kill you?" Old man said, "Yes, we will hang., they will hang us." It was also said that they are worried about who will take over power.

Poor people!

Revolution in the Middle East and its connection to Revelation - By Nicole Horrelt – www.examiner.com
In response to the recent wave of Arab revolts and current uprising in Egypt, Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in his February 4 Friday Prayer sermon in Tehran welcomed the "revolution and awakening" and interpreted in detail his ideological analysis and aspirations with regard to the "explosion of sacred anger" in the Middle East.
Khamenei, identifying himself as a 'brother in religion' to the Arab people, concluded that the recent wave of unrest shaking the nations was an "earthquake" triggered by the Islamic Revolution of 1979 and condemned the Mubarak regime for siding with the West; choosing to support the 'Zionists' rather than the Palestinians, pointing out that since Camp David a great divide was created between the Egyptian people and the government.
During Friday prayers the Ayatollah addressed the Egyptian protestors saying "the uprising of the Muslim Egyptian nation is an Islamic and freedom-seeking movement. I, in the name of the people and government of Iran, send salutations to you and pray to God for your complete victory. Of you and your uprising I am filled with pride."
Egypt’s main opposition party, the Muslim Brotherhood, rejected this claim of an Islamic revolution by the Ayatollah just hours after Khamenei’s remarks on Friday. Editor in chief Khaled Hamza of Ikhwanweb, the Muslim Brotherhood’s official English website, stated that the current uprising in Egypt is 'a revolution of the Egyptian people and is by no means linked to any Islamic tendencies, despite allegations nor can it be described as Islamic.' Such confusion!
The Muslim Brotherhood and the Iranian Regime share a common goal despite their differences, uniting them together with many of the Muslims who are protesting, and that is the hatred for the nation of Israel and for those who support them.
This revolt and 'resistance' against the existence of Israel is at the spiritual heart of the Middle East conflict - not the economy, which no doubt plays a role, but suggests a man-made fix could end the disputes. Rather, an entire ideological shift would need to occur to change the spiritual condition and ambition of Israel's neighbors. Thus, it is essentially a 'spiritual battle,' and the current situation threatens to disrupt more than the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel, given that the Islamic agenda (see Article 27: Hamas Covenant) proceeds and war threats in the region become more than rumors: There are several prophesied events concerning Israel and the nations aligned against Zion: Zechariah 12:1-3, Psalm 83, Isaiah 17:1, Ezekiel 38-39, Joel 3:2
Joel C. Rosenberg explained in his February 4 blog post:
If Egypt falls into the hands of the Radicals, this will be a disaster of historic proportions. Egypt and Iran would be the Twin Towers of the epicenter, two nations that have collapsed at the hands of the jihadists who are determined to rebuild the Islamic caliphate and usher in the End of Days, even if many in our foreign policy establishment don’t recognize this.
In many ways, Egypt and Iran could not be more different. Egypt is ethnically Arab and spiritually Sunni. Iran is ethnically Persian and spiritually Shia. Traditionally, Arabs and Persians have hated each other. So have Sunnis and Shias. But now they are coming together for two common objectives:
To surround Israel, destroy the Jews, and capture Jerusalem for Islam.
To surround the Arabian peninsula, destroy the "apostate" House of Saud regime, and capture control of Mecca and Medina
This is why the Iranian regime is so excited by what is happening in Egypt, and determined to help where and how they can.
A MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute) dispatch dated October 6, 2010, a translation from Arabic to English of a weekly sermon by Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Muhammad Badi', solidifies this common unifying factor between the Ayatollah's claim of Islamic Revolution and that of the Muslim Brotherhood and makes a bold statement of Islamic, anti-Zionist intentions outside of the mainstream media's attention:
"According to the Islamic shari'a that Allah [has bequeathed] to mankind, the status of the Muslims, compared to that of the infidel nations that arrogantly [disdain] his shari'a, is measured in a kind of scale, in which, when one side is in a state of superiority, the other is in a state of inferiority...
"Many Arab and Muslim regimes have not managed to build up their peoples, due to their weakness and their dependence [on the West], and in many cases they have begun to work against the interests of the [Muslim] nation... The lands of the Arabs and of Islam are now plagued with problems because [the Arabs] have lost their [strength of] will, leaving it to the Zionist enemies and their supporters. [The Arab and Muslim regimes] have forgotten, or are pretending to have forgotten, that the real enemy lying in wait for them is the Zionist entity. They are aiming their weapons against their own peoples, while avoiding any confrontation with these Zionists and achieving neither unity nor revival for their nations. Moreover, they are disregarding Allah's commandment to wage jihad for His sake with [their] money and [their] lives, so that Allah's word will reign supreme and the infidels' word will be inferior... "
It is important to note that many government officials in the allied international community act as though blinded by the Muslim Brotherhood's core intentions as though they can't read the writing on the wall, choosing to blur reality and portray the MB as a 'Moderate' regime. It reminds this writer how the International community stood by numbly while Hamas was voted in as a legitimate governing body - all the while Hamas boldly declaring in their charter their will to destroy Israel.
Here is the writing on the wall:
The Muslim Brotherhood’s stated mission is as follows:
Allah is its target, the Prophet is its model, the Koran its constitution: Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Does the Islamic agenda, with its will to destroy Israel at its core and pursuit of a world under sharia law, play a role in the end times?
Absolutely. When the nation of Israel - Jerusalem becomes the focus of the world's attention and is surrounded by threats of war - and false peace (plans) and world dominion is lusted for by such an organization, the book of Revelation is worth the time and study.
Bible Prophecy Teacher Joseph Chambers writes,'This is a big matter. Taking this earth and the entire realm, which he has invaded, back from Satan is at the heart of this Book of Revelation.'
Revelation Chapter 5
The Seven-Sealed Scroll of Revelation
John says,
"1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. 4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon."
The Seven-Sealed Scroll is a title deed to the earth !
The Book of Ruth makes clear that only a Kinsman redeemer could redeem the land.
John was weeping knowing no 'man' (Adam had forfeited his dominion of the Planet Earth) could be found qualified to redeem the deed. But! Fortunately, Mercifully, there was One Who was able, and willing:
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7 And He came and took the book out of the right hand of Him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when He had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation"
The LORD Yeshua Ha' Mashiach is the Lamb of God who was slain for the sins of the world. He has risen from the dead and He is returning to Earth again - HE is the Kinsman Redeemer!
The opening of the seven seals in the Book of Revelation initiates a series of judgments upon the earth: seven seals followed by seven trumpet judgments, seven bowl judgments, ending with the LORD Himself appearing to rescue the remnant of Israel at the Battle of Armageddon and to destroy the Antichrist (a wicked world leader who will come to power) and his False Prophet (who will perform signs and wonders and persuade the world to worship the antichrist). The Messiah will then set up His Millennial Kingdom on this earth with all those who have not followed after the antichrist and the believers who have returned with Him from Heaven and He will rule the earth from Jerusalem, Israel!
Before this, however, Islam should not be underestimated, for it does play a role - we read that those who refuse to follow the Anti-christ are martyred by beheading. We only know of one 'religion' that practices such form of execution.
This spiritually-rooted Middle East Conflict will not be solved by physical man-made means, although well-intended peace-making efforts should never be discouraged.
The Prophets of old and John spoke about these end of days and the future glorious Kingdom of the LORD and wrote them down thousands of years ago so we could above all, prepare our hearts for the LORD's return.
In closing, the battle is essentially not between Arab and Jew, or flesh and blood, it is ultimately between Allah and Yahweh.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.( Ephesians 6:12) •
The Muslim Big Brotherhood - By Jim Fletcher – www.prophecymatters.com
Does anyone really believe that Barack Obama doesn't understand exactly what the Muslim Brotherhood is?
In his drive to push Hosni Mubarak's political wheelchair down a flight of stairs, Obama is pushing a White House-led plan to remove Mubarak from office. Of course, Hillary Clinton as secretary of state is tasked with carrying this plan to Mubarak.
No one is also naïve in thinking that Mubarak is anything but a strongman, a dictator who values self above all. His three decades of ruling Egypt with an iron fist (like Syria's Hafez Assad and Jordan's King Hussein) has left Egypt with a shiny new American-equipped army, and a Third World economy.
But I don't believe for a minute that the revolt in Egypt is driven by disaffected youth. It is the most radical form of Muslim jihadist mentality that is driving the car now.
The Muslim Brotherhood
The Brotherhood is a radical strain of Islam, born in Egypt in 1928, and the forerunner of both the PLO (formed in 1964) and Al Qaida. Needless to say, this band of true believers in Allah hated Israel from the beginning.
In the early years of Israel's existence, one of the worst problems the Jews dealt with was cross-border raids from the Egyptian mujahideen, or "freedom fighters." They continuously struck civilian targets in Israel, crossing through the Sinai and elsewhere. For years, Israel sent its own commandos back in retaliation.
And, in one of those odd, ironic twists of history, the Brotherhood engaged an opportunity just after World War II that is still having ramifications for our world today.
In the late 40's, a young Yasser Arafat was agitating to fight the Jews and the British in Palestine. Incredibly, when he visited the former Mufti of Jerusalem in Lebanon, the radical cleric advised him instead to pursue university studies in the U.S.!
Arafat - equally incredibly - applied for a visa. Had the process not dragged-on, the future terrorist chieftain might have been engulfed in Marilyn Monroe films and Buicks. Instead, he teamed-up with the Muslim Brotherhood, which was now encouraged subtly by Egypt's King Farouk to engage in terror activities.
From there, one can trace Arafat's involvement with the Brotherhood, and in 1964 - three years before Israel took territories in the Six Day War - the PLO was formed. By 1968, Arafat was named chairman.
When Arafat was organizing his terror activities early on, his para-military group, Fatah (today the official political party of Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen), was linked to the Muslim Brotherhood. At the time, the Saudis also claimed that the groups were tied to international communism.
This stew of revolutionary thought and terror activity has ensured that the Muslim Brotherhood has not only not advanced in its thinking since 1928, but in fact it hearkens back to the darkest radicalism that swept through the Arabian desert in the seventh century.
After the Six Day War, the infiltration of Gaza by terrorist entities from Egypt made it necessary for Israel to send Ariel Sharon into the area and clean it up. The PLO and Muslim Brotherhood groups were copying the tactics of the Viet Cong in villages and urban areas - murdering and brutalizing the population. A total of 846 terrorists were either killed or captured.
Sadly, the relentless nature of terrorism though eventually gave way to the "political process" and that is how we find ourselves in the position of watching an American president further endanger Israel by proposing a transition of power in Egypt that will include ... the Muslim Brotherhood.
Ridiculous. •
