My Lord is ever with me
Along life's busy way;
I trust in Him completely
For guidance day by day.*

Sometimes, meat just seems so tasty!

(Ok, this might be a bit much.)

I'm hungry I guess.

Bye, friends! -Missygirl*

Well, hello! -I cracked open the window just a tad and the birds outside are singing so loud and strong! What a beautiful day today. Thanks for sharing yours with me.

~FOOD FOR THOUGHT~

Have you ever thought about Jesus' use of time? He had a short life; He had much to do; yet He was in no breathless hurry. He seemed to have a different scale of values from most of us. There were many things which were vastly important to many people, but for those things, Jesus had no time. He had no time to amass property, for instance. But we see clearly that He did have time for people. He would give large amounts of time talking to people and helping them. He took a long time to talk to one woman at a wayside well. Again and again he made a detour in the midst of a busy day to go and heal people. To Him the needs of people were the most important things in all of life. *

If you've got a dollar and you spend twenty-nine cents
on a loaf of bread, you've got seventy-one cents left.
But if you've got seventeen grand and you spend twenty-nine cents on a loaf of bread,
you've still got seventeen grand. There's a math lesson for you.

We would all agree that our religion is worth dying for.
Here is a nearer, closer question, "Is it worth living for?"
That is what we are called to do, to live for our faith, not in one dramatic act, but in a steady succession of days.*

Enjoy your day everyone! Blessings! -Missygirl*

HAPPY SABBATH EVERYONE!

-God is still on the Throne and PRAYER Changes Things!

The battle raged, the cannon roared;

I stood to see the fight--

And lo, behold, I saw the Lord

Revealed, before my sight.

'Twas He who fought and won that day;

'Twas He who gave the word:

"Stand still, My child. Stand still, I say."

And yet another word I heard,

'Twas only this: "Obey."

-Item from the Pentecostal Evangel

Hi Friends! -I hope everyone is doing well.

What a rainy but beautiful day here in Colorado.

Life in The Blood

The blood of Jesus represents life. The Word says, "The blood is the life."

The blood cleanses. The blood Jesus poured out for us on the cross at Calvary cleanses us!

The Word tells us that our sins are blotted out by the blood. "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." It is blessed to know that all our past sins are gone- blotted out forever. But He goes further than that: He removes those evil desires, cravings, and characteristics produced by habitually yielding to the urgings of the selfish nature, even the flesh. When we finally give our all to Him and have our wills firmly set to obey Him and to live our lives by the law of love- that is when He puts within us a heart of flesh and the mind of Christ Jesus.

When you see anything in you that produces transgression, remember that His blood will take that away.*

**************************

Thank You that there is life in Your shed blood, and that I can apply it again and again to take away those things that would otherwise bring death. Thank You for Calvary.

Thank You Lord Jesus. amen.

We need to be striving to live pure and holy lives that will glorify God and help others turn to Him. Embrace your identity in Christ and bring Him glory!*

GREEN CHILI SAUCE

(my Dad sent me this recipe. I haven't tried it, but it looks pretty good.

It is the Chile season so I thought I'd pass this one on to ya:)

This recipe is from Three Bros. Farms in Everett, Washington

and it's given to their customers.

3 Tbsp. Olive oil

1 small Onion

1 cup Green Chilies, chopped

2 Tbsp. Flour

1 clove of Garlic, chopped

1/2 tsp. Salt

1/4 tsp. ground Black Pepper

1 cup Broth (chicken, vegetarian or beef)

Saute onions and garlic in 2 tablespoons olive oil for several minutes. Add green chilies and saute another 2 minutes. In a small bowl, mix flour, salt and pepper. Add 1 tablespoon oil to create a paste (slightly thicker than heavy cream). Add the paste to the sauteed chilies and onions and heat. Add broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Bring to a boil, then reduce

heat and simmer 10 minutes. Add more broth to create desired consistency.*

Time to Laugh!!!

"How was your blind date?"

"Terrible! He showed up in a 1932 Rolls-Royce!"

"What's so terrible about that?"

"He was the original owner!"

A police officer rushes to the scene of an accident to find a car smashed into a tree. The officer rushes over to the vehicle and asks the driver, "Are you seriously hurt?"

"How should I know?" The driver responds, "I'm not a lawyer!"

FAITH IS TRUSTING GOD

DOUBT IS TRUSTING OUR CIRCUMSTANCES
IN SPITE OF GOD. -Pastor Rod Henry

HAPPY SEPTEMBER!
What a beautiful month, I always love the changes; Some autumn flowers start becoming bright,
the leaves start changing colors, everything starts settling down, the kids are back in school, time to look for the sweaters! -Just Beautiful!*
********************************
Happy Birthday to my Granddaughter Leesa! She's turned 8 big years today!!
Thank You Lord!*

******************************

Today my husband and I are getting our pictures taken. The lady that is taking them is the same one who took the senior pictures of the kids and she does such a wonderful job. When my daughter moves back to Colorado at the first of the year, I'd like to get the portrait taken of all of my grandchildren together. That would be just awesome! The lady that takes the pictures does such a wonderful job! She's done this work for years. Her name is Jan Pelton.
You can see her work and look at her Photo Art Gallery also if you'd like, she has prints for sale here too. Her web address is: http://www.janpeltonphotography.com/
I let my husband know that what I really wanted for my birthday this year was a professional picture taken of just the two of us. It has been SO LONG since we've had a professional one taken. (he liked the idea too!) For my birthday, I know it's a lot easier on him if I don't just send him out on his own to pick out a gift for me, he stresses about it. He appreciates it if I let him know what I would really like to receive. (He's always on his own for gift selection on Valentine's day though.)*
