Hello today Everyone...I wanted to talk a little bit about gardening and doing some different things outside today, but there was an incident this morning that has me a little rattled still.
I wanted to share that with you. This morning I let my dogs go outside into the back yard and I went into the kitchen to take an allergy tablet. As I was in the kitchen I heard my dogs start barking and then a cat hissing and meowing real loud. I got outside right away to see what was going on and I saw a kitten hissing at my barking dog, on the kitten's side was a bite mark that looked like the skin had been broken, but it wasn't bleeding. I shooed my dogs away and tried to pick up the kitten but it was hissing at me and then ran off under the fence. I was concerned for the kitten to be sure, but it wouldn't let me near it. I felt immediate anger at pet owners who don't get their animals spayed or neutered. That is part of the responsibility of owning pets! It isn't fair to the pet itself or it's offspring. Not to mention other people or animals who might come in contact with it. As much as I was angry over the incident, I had to reassure myself that this wasn't my dogs' fault. The cat was in their back yard and they are only acting the way they are ingrained from The Creator. Cats and dogs. Such was the start of my morning. .......

ROSES, BEAUTIFUL ROSES!
>Prune climbing roses after they flower, not before.
>To cut down on disease, rake up leaves that fall off your rosebushes and keep the area under them clean.
>Sprinkle Epsom salts around the bases of rosebushes to supply needed minerals.
>Save banana peels and bury them around your rosebushes to provide potassium.
>When you see bugs on the leaves of your rose bushes, or the leaves look as if someone has came under the cover of darkness with a hole puncher and had at the leaves, try this remedy:
In a clean spray bottle, combine 2 inches of Listerine Antiseptic mouthwash (blue) and about 8 inches of water. Shake well and spray on sick rose bushes.
DO NOT USE THIS MIXTURE ON ANY OTHER PLANTS!!!!...IT COULD HARM THEM. Use on Rose bushes only.
>Do Not Put Rosebushes To Sleep Wet At Night. Wet causes fungus.*

In Connecticut:
(These are a few actual laws that are on the books still today)
#1: You can be stopped by the police for biking over 65 miles per hour.
#2: It is unlawful to walk backwards after sunset.
#3: In order for a pickle to 'officially' be considered a pickle, it must bounce.*

IT'S TIME TO WASH THOSE WINDOWS!!

~ To make an inexpensive window cleaner, combine about a half cup ammonia,
2 1/2 cups rubbing alcohol, 1 teaspoon dishwashing liquid, 1 1/2 quarts water, and blue food coloring (if desired) in a clean half gallon jug. Shake well and label. To use, transfer to a clean spray bottle.
~ When washing windows, use horizontal strokes inside and vertical strokes outside, or vice versa. When it comes to figuring out where the streaks are, you'll know which side is which.
~ Spray windows, then wipe immediately using loosely wadded newspaper. (Do not use coated paper, such as advertising inserts.)
~ To prevent bird collisions with windows, you could float helium balloons in front of the windows on 2-3 foot lengths of string. Birds often fly into windows during nesting season. Male birds in particular, confuse their reflections with invaders. Once baby birds hatch, the adults tend not to display such aggressive behavior.*

Everyone, this woman is missing: Her name is Lisa Stebic.
She's been missing since Monday, April 30, 2007.
She was last seen at her home (in Plainfield, Illinois) around 6:00pm.
Her car is still in her garage, and she has her cell phone and wallet with her.
I don't personally know who this woman is, only that she's missing and friends and her family are extremely worried about her. She has children.
Please click onto the following Link to the websight about her. Maybe you might have seen her. This will only take a minute's time. For her sake, please spend a few moments:

This battleship was made from the steel that was on the ground after the World Trade Centers collapsed on 9-11. It is fully functional and fully manned. I wonder if spirits of the people lost in the Trade Centers go along in the ship. It gives me goosebumps to consider it. -Missygirl*

Hello Everyone! Thank you for coming to visit!...
I wanted to share this with you:
Jack, a 15-pound, orange and white cat, took seriously his job of guarding his owner's backyard in New Jersey. He often scared small animal intruders away, but the owners were surprised when one day they found him sitting at the base of a tall tree, looking up at a large black bear. Jack hissed at the bear as it wandered into the yard from the nearby woods. The scared bear quickly climbed up a tree. How could a big black bear be afraid of a little kitty? What was he thinking? -Even more absurd are our thoughts of worry and fear when we consider that we have a powerful and good God who cares for us. Jesus told His disciples, "Do not worry..."
(Matthew 6:25,31,34.) He said we don't have to be fearful or worried, because our heavenly Father knows our needs, and we are valued by Him. (verses 26&32.) He is perfectly willing and able to meet our needs. -Anne Cetas*
WORRY IS A BURDEN THAT GOD NEVER MEANT FOR US TO BEAR.

When fear and worry test your faith
and anxious thoughts assail,
Remember God is in control
And He will never fail. -Sper.

I hope you all have a good night. Blessings! -Missygirl*

Our Lord has written the promises of

the resurrection, not in books alone,

but in every leaf in Springtime.*

Hi Friends! Wow! It sure is the time of year for Weddings, Graduations, and also spending time with much loved family members in town! Fun and also very fulfilling. It seems to me that when one of these beautiful events takes place, it writes another chapter in my life, along with the chapter it's writing in their lives. The good memories that they are taking with them, I'm also taking with me. These are much loved friends and family of mine. I'm so thankful and proud of each and every one of them!
It's been an awesome few weeks, but it did feel really good to rest yesterday. Sometimes I wear myself out. (I don't mean to, there's just so much I want to do.) -Yesterday, it was such a nice morning, I went to the 7-11 down on the corner to pick up the Sunday newspaper and it was so good to see all of the people that were out doing different things. I saw one man taking grocery bags out of his car, some kids were riding their bikes and some kids playing outside. Some people were giving their dog a bath, alot of people were doing yardwork. I really like to see people doing ordinary, everyday things. It makes me think that even if it's only for that moment, all's right with the world. (I dig it!) ~ Well, about 2:30pm, I let the dogs go outside into the back yard. It's fenced, they know every inch of it and normally they like to spend quite a while out there. But yesterday, after just a couple of minutes, the little one was yelping to come back in. It had started raining! I felt so bad. I hadn't even seen it coming. I let them in and went out front to roll the windows up in the car. (That sounds so deceiving, I didn't ROLL them up, I just pushed a button and they went up by themselves, you know what I mean.) They were only open a few inches but you never know how bad it might rain. I went back inside the house and almost immediately it started raining down real strong- A real Gully Washer! (Ok. that's real old school, I know.) I like the rain. So do the plants and trees. I planted so many this year that I said I wasn't going to plant ANY new ones. (see how I am?) -I blame it on 'The Arbor Day Foundation'. The just keep sending me all these beautiful trees! (of course I keep ordering them) But they're beautiful! I need to quit though. My property is only so big. My poor neighbors. 15 years from now they'll feel like they live next door to a Great Forest. I hope they don't have allergies. (I don't want them to feel forced to move for their health's sake.)
I wanted to let you know how I'm doing on my reading. I've received and finished the last book in the Claire series I was telling you about: 'I Love Claire' by Tracey Bateman. I did send an e-mail to the author and she said it looks like the characters journeys are ending with 'I Love Claire'. I know. Drag. I liked the series so much, too. Well, I started reading another from Tamar Myers: 'No Use Dying Over Spilled Milk' I'm enjoying this one also. Almost reached the end of the first 100 pages and I don't like to put it down.
You guys know that I go to church on Saturdays don't you? I think I shared that. I go to: 'The Seventh Day Baptist Church'. I feel God was telling me to go on the Sabbath and I feel drawn to the Baptist beliefs. I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy the Bible studies we're doing through the book of Revelation. Right now it's describing what Heaven will look like. I'm excited. The Bible says: 1 Corinthians 2:9 - Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.* (Awesome! Our God is awesome!)

The Lord can even make a batch of weeds look pretty, can't He? -your Missygirl*

Hi Friends! I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to spend some time with you today and share a couple of things. I thought this was interesting: In 1953, a fledgling business called Rocket Chemical Company and it's staff of three set out to create a line of rust-prevention solvents and degreasers for use in the aerospace industry. It took them 40 attempts to perfect their formula. The original secret formula for WD-40 (which stands for Water
Displacement, 40th attempt) is still in use today. What a story of persistence!*

I read this and thought it was just great! I think you'll like it too.

With a husband and children, I find that I have a household that never stops; and I must admit, there are times that I get a bit discouraged and tired. Not from lack of love and appreciation, but from the fact that every minute is taken and busy. Yet, I can find quiet amid the noise if I remember my resources which are all wrapped up in the Person of Jesus Christ. He can give quiet amid the storm; He can give strength when I feel I am at the end of mine. He never promised to take away all hardship, all sorrow, nor absolve all impossible situations, nor remove all the giants in our lives; but He did and does promise to be with us in and through these times and for all time. -Gigi Graham Tchividjian*

Hi There! -Missygirl*

Hi my friends! Happy May Day!...The first day of May today! Awesome!

I wanted to share this next thing with you. I thought it was interesting:
Orbiting our planet at speeds more than 4.5 miles per second is a growing collection of space junk. Nuts, bolts, and other discarded debris from space flights are presenting a real hazard to future spacecraft. Their sheer speed makes the tiniest object strike with the impact of a bullet. During one of the shuttle missions, a speck of paint created a pit a quarter-inch wide in a window of the craft. One study revealed that there are 110,000 objects larger than 1 centimeter in orbit. Their combined weight is 4 million pounds! To avoid a space junk disaster, the US Space Command monitors orbiting debris for NASA.*
(WHOA! -who would ever have imagined that?)

MAY OF 1933 - As reported in the local newspaper, a couple saw an enormous creature cavorting along the surface of Scotland's Loch Ness, initiating the modern era of Loch Ness Monster sightings.*
