Hello Everyone! I hope you're having a beautiful day!
Hey- I have a few things for you, a few funny things and some tips I thought might be helpful.
I thought these were cute:
*If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?
*If the police arrest a mime, do they tell him he has the right to start speaking?
*Marriages are made in Heaven. But then again, so are thunder and lightning.
I thought you might like those. I did.
Here's some good advice from kids:
1.) Never trust a dog to watch your food. -Patrick, age 10
2.) When your dad is mad and asks you, "Do I look stupid?" Don't answer. -Hannah, age 9
3.) Never hold a dustbuster and a cat at the same time. -Kyoko, age 10
4.) When your mom is mad at your dad, don't let her brush your hair. -Thalia, age 8
5.) A puppy always has bad breath- even after eating a Tic-Tac. -Andrew, age 7
We can all live well each day- with laughter, the Lord, and love from our friends and family.
POPPY FLOWERS FOR SPRING:
When winter lingers too long, find a packet of poppy seeds and scatter them over the snow. They'll do best in a previously cultivated spot, but even a grassy slope will show their determined germination come springtime.*
WATERING TIPS FOR HOUSEPLANTS:
* Water plants with distilled or bottled water to avoid a buildup of toxic salts.
* Spray plants with a mixture of 1/4 teaspoon castile soap and 1 quart water to deter aphids and other common winter bugs.
* If a houseplant's leaves turn brown and crinkly, create a more humid environment. Set the pot on a tray of pebbles and fill the tray with water to add humidity. Keep the water level just below the bottom of the pot.
* Save the water when you clean the fish tank and use it for your houseplants.*
HOME REMEDIES FOR EARACHES, COLDS, AND HEADACHES:
*For a mild earache, a warm heating pad can ease the pain. Keep the heat low.
Consult your Doctor if the pain persists.
*To prevent colds and sore throats from circulating in the family, soak toothbrushes in mouthwash. Be sure each family member keeps his or her toothbrush seperate -don't just pile them all in the same cup. After a hard bought of sickness in the family, I truly believe it helps tremendously, to throw out all the old toothbrushes. -just throw them away- It's always a treat to use a new toothbrush and should any little bad germs want to hang on, they'll be long gone.
* Sinus headaches, common when we're shut up inside with dry indoor heat, respond well to aromatic steam. Boil sprigs of lavendar, rosemary, pine, or thyme (alone or in combination), make a tent with a towel over your head, and inhale the steam.
* If you have a ringing in the ears, it may be tinnitus. Try avoiding aspirin, caffeine and quinine.*
