Hello! I hope everyone is doing great! Here we are in February!

Get out of the car!
(This supposedly is a true account recorded in the Police Log in Sarasota, Florida.)
An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and upon returning to her car,
found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle.
She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her lungs,"I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!"
The four men didn't have to wait for a second threat. They got out and ran like mad.
The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the driver's seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition.
She tried and tried, and then she realized what the problem was. It was for the same reason why there was a football, a frisbee, and two twelve packs of beer in the front seat.
A few minutes later she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down.
She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station to report her mistake.
The Sergeant to whom she told the story couldn't stop laughing.
He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad, elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair, and carrying a large handgun.
No charges were filed.
Moral of the story?
If you're gonna have a senior moment...make it memorable.*

I've been paying attention (somewhat) to the craziness in this upcoming 2008 presidential election. People get so angry when you talk about it and you don't agree with their views.
They want you to make sure and understand that THEY HAVE A CHOICE!! Some people have a hard time understanding that you have a choice too. Not just them. My choice for President of these United States is MIKE HUCKABEE . I just finished listening to a news conference broadcast on Fox News. Gov Huckabee was again asked a question about faith. He reminds everyone that he governed for 10 1/2 years, was a Lt Gov for 3 years. He has no problem talking about his faith, that defines his world view but he wants to discuss education, health care, etc.
One of my favorite points he makes is this: Decisions in Washington at the top affect regular people at the bottom. The problem is Washington is increasing making decisions that adversely affect regular people. He wants to be a president that does not govern horizontally but vertically.
I'm asking God to do what He did so many times in the Old Testament with wars. Totally won with the underdog...when they were up against the huge armies. When things looked too impossible that the only way they would win is if God came through. I'm going to be praying and fasting once a week for God to change hearts and for our country and Huckabee. Will you consider joining me? I just keep thinking of that verse "If my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves and pray and turn from their ways, then I will hear from Heaven and heal their land."
Oh, Lord, let it be!!! Like many of you, I have not ever been involved in politics...but I really believe The Lord is leading in this, but it won't be without a fight. I hope this might influence you to consider Huckabee.
This is OUR country. Let's not let anybody with their own wayward agenda be CEO again!

I'll say goodbye now, everyone! Thanks for joining me today! Blessings! -Missygirl*
