Hi! I wanted to show you some veggies from our garden! -We've eaten tons of zucchini and given away a bunch too! (God really blessed us!) The tomatoes and jalapeƱos aren't big enough to pick yet, but they're growing bigger everyday. We're waiting for the rest of the potatoes to get bigger too. We've learned so much more about gardening this year. Next year I would like to try using heirloom seeds instead of store bought hybrid seeds; Then we could use the seeds from our own veggies year after year and not have to buy any. I would like to be self sufficient in that area. We've learned that starting the seeds indoors very early works well. It's way easier to plant plants outside than starting off with seeds straight to the dirt. I think in March (which here in Colorado is a big snow month for us) I will start growing seeds indoors. Then, the tomato plants should be good to plant outside by the middle of June, I think. (I hope)
Every year we'll learn more and try more. It's actually exciting.

I found a place on the Internet that sells heirloom seeds and I'm going to try seeds from here next year. It looks pretty good. You should check it out:
