SUPER! -I'm glad you love the idea! I do to. Well, let's get started...
Exposure to Light at Night May Lead to Weight Gain
Exposure to light at night, when the body is programmed to shutdown or go into sleep mood, may lead to weight gain -- even if the person exposed to the light is not eating extra calories.
Ohio State University researchers recently discovered that mice exposed to light at night, particularly dim light, gained more weight than their counterparts who lived in a normal light/dark cycle even thought the mice exposed to light at night didn't eat more food.
"What was actually happening was that mice with light at night were shifting when they were eating," says Laura Fonken, lead study author and a doctoral student in Ohio State's neuroscience department. "They were eating during their rest phase."
So what does this mean for humans who stay up late watching TV or surfing the Internet?
"It's hard to predict," says Fonken, "but evidence suggests this may be true in humans, too."
She suspects there may be a link between humans' increased exposure to light at night and the increase in rates of obesity nationwide.
Fonken says further study is necessary, however. The Ohio University research, which was published in the early online edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences this week, showed that mice exposed to light at night but with access to food only during normal eating times did not gain weight. It was only the mice that changed their eating times that gained weight, taking on a body mass gain of about 50 percent more than their standard light-dark cycle counterparts. "When you restrict consumption to the rest phase, you see weight gain," Fonken says.
This would seem to suggest that eating late at night -- even if you're not consuming more calories than you normally would -- may still be a risk factor for obesity. Fonken thinks her experiments with mice may model what we know as night-eating syndrome, a disorder where people have minimal appetite in the morning and suffer from insomnia as well as a tendency to overeat at night.
Fonken says she can't say right now if this study means anything for humans but since other studies have shown a link between night eating and weight gain, it's important to be aware of the dangers, particularly if you work late at night or watch TV late into the evening. "Keep a regular schedule of eating," Fonken suggests, to avoid consuming food well after the dinner hour.

Muslim Brotherhood 'declares war' on U.S.
Analyst compares leader's sermon to bin Laden's pre-9/11 warning
Posted: October 12, 2010
Five years before the 9/11 attacks, al-Qaida declared war on America, the West, Christians and Jews – and virtually no one noticed.
Now, a longtime observer of Islam is warning that a "war declaration" of potentially much greater significance has been made.
The Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, Muhammad Badi, who was elected only months ago, has "endorsed anti-American Jihad and pretty much every element in the al-Qaida ideology book," writes Barry Rubin, author and director of the Global Research in International Affairs Center and editor of the Middle East Review of International Affairs Journal.
The Brotherhood – the dominant Islamic organization in the West that has spawned most of the major Muslim terrorist groups, including al-Qaida, along with the largest "mainstream" organizations – is giving the signal that it is "ready to move from the era of propaganda and base-building to one of revolutionary action," says Rubin.
In a sermon published Sept. 30 titled "How Islam Confronts the Oppression and Tyranny [against the Muslims]," Badi said waging jihad against both Israel and the United States is a commandment of Allah that cannot be disregarded.
The remarks were delivered in a weekly sermon, published Sept. 30 and translated into English.
Governments trying to stop Muslims from fighting the U.S., he said, "are disregarding Allah's commandment to wage jihad for His sake with [their] money and [their] lives, so that Allah's word will reign supreme" over all non-Muslims.
Rubin concludes: "Let it be said that in September 2010, the Muslim Brotherhood, a group with 100 times more activists than al-Qaida, issued its declaration of war."
He calls the sermon "one of those obscure Middle East events of the utmost significance that is ignored by the Western mass media, especially because they happen in Arabic, not English; by Western governments, because they don't fit their policies; and by experts, because they don't mesh with their preconceptions."
The sermon is a signal to the Brotherhood's hundreds of thousands of followers, Rubin says.
"Some of them will engage in terrorist violence as individuals or forming splinter groups; others will redouble their efforts to seize control of their countries and turn them into safe areas for terrorists and instruments for war on the West."
Rubin calls Badi's "explicit formulation of a revolutionary program" a "game-changer."
"It should be read by every Western decision-maker and have a direct effect on policy because this development may affect people's lives in every Western country," he writes.

GOINGS ON AT MY HOUSE:
Well, today all of the remaining vegetables were picked and taken inside. The Garden is empty now. Weather forecast this morning says ' frost' overnight tonight. So, today we cut the tomatoes into good sized cooking chunks and froze them, also we have sun-dried tomatoes cooking in the oven right now! We wanted to make sure we had plenty of veggies ready for this winter when everything gets super expensive at the grocery store. (If you can even find good ones at all.)
We will for sure know that ours are 100% organic! -
On Sunday we cleaned the living room very good, vacuumed out the couch and chair, brought in firewood and stacked it up, cleaned the aquarium, put on the storm windows, we just want to be ready for whenever the first snow may fall.

I hope everyone is ready and registered to vote in the November election.
This is very important. I also believe it's our Christian duty to vote.*
George Washington said, "Truth will prevail where there is pains taken to bring it to light."
Henry Ford said, "I've never objected to paying taxes, but I do object to government eating up the real wealth of this country on the pretext of giving it back to the people. It never gets back to the people!"
And you can do your part as an American citizen; what is your responsibility?
TO VOTE !

A Funny, Bunny Story -(actually a funny, bunny joke!)Once upon a time there was a man who was peacefully driving down a winding road. Suddenly, a bunny skipped across the road and the man couldn't stop. He hit the bunny head on. The man quickly jumped out of his car to check on the poor creature. There, lying lifeless in the middle of the road, was the little bunny.
The man cried out, "Oh no! What have I done?! I killed the poor little thing!!!"
The man started sobbing uncontrollably. At that moment he heard another car approaching. It was a woman in a shiny blue car. The woman stopped and asked what the problem was. The man explained, "Oh, look what I’ve done! It’s terrible, just terrible! I ran over a poor little bunny! and now he's DEAD!!"
The woman exclaimed, “I can help you!” She ran back to her car and popped open the trunk. She reached in and grabbed a spray bottle, ran back to the lifeless rabbit and began to spray him down.
The bunny immediately sprang up, ran into the woods, stopped, and waved back at the man and woman. Then it ran another 10 feet, stopped, and waved. It did this over and over again until the man and the woman could no longer see the bunny.
Once out of sight, the man exclaimed, pointing at the can of spray. "What is that?"
The woman replied, “ Here...read it for yourself!”
This is what he read:
..." Harespray. Gives life to dead hare. Adds wave." "...I'm just sayin'..."
