The UN Disaster is Obama's Fault - By Jonathan Tobin
http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | For many liberal pundits, the blame for the circus that will unfold this week at the UN with the start of a debate over Palestinian statehood is to be assigned to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu whom they wrongly claim has obstructed peace talks. Others are inclined, with more justice, to put the burden for the problem on Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas whose pursuit of UN recognition of statehood without first making peace with Israel is seen as both futile and counter-productive to the end that he claims to seek.
But the lion's share of the blame ought to fall on President Obama. Though peace talks were stalled when he took office in January 2009, the deterioration of a relatively stable standoff into the volatile situation that exists today is due in no small measure to the blunders that the president's team has committed over the past 32 months. Though friends of Israel will rightly give Obama credit for sticking to his word and vetoing the Palestinian resolution — a stand that will be undertaken as much if not more in defense of U.S. interests than those of the Jewish state — the diplomatic disaster that is about to be played out is the fruit of his own misjudgments.
It was three years ago in the fall of 2008 when then Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert offered Abbas a Palestinian state in almost all of the West Bank, Gaza and a share of Jerusalem. Though the Palestinians had spent much of the previous months dickering with the Israelis over the terms of a peace agreement, in the end Abbas refused to sign much in the same way his predecessor Yasir Arafat had also declined to make peace after he had received such offers in 2000 and 2001. By the end of that year with a new American president about to take office, it was clear that the state of Palestinian politics was such that no Palestinian Authority leader could afford to make peace with Israel, no matter what the terms or where its borders would be drawn. Even if they were inclined to make peace, with Gaza in the hands of Hamas, Fatah leaders like Abbas couldn't survive an accord.
That should have signaled the new American president that giving a high priority to the Middle East peace process would do more harm than good. But Obama was convinced the problem had more to do with his predecessor's closeness with Israel than the realities of Palestinian politics. So instead of watching and waiting for the Palestinians to come to their senses, Obama plunged ahead with a new strategy that distanced the United States from Israel in a futile effort to entice its foes to come back to the negotiations that they had abandoned months earlier.
The result of this tactical switch was the opposite of what Obama intended. The president's decision to ask Israel to make unilateral concessions to bribe Abbas to talk, as well as his inexplicable decision to pick fights with the newly elected Netanyahu over the status of Jerusalem, only persuaded the Palestinians that they need only sit back and watch while America battered its Jewish ally. Rather than working on the Palestinians to take yes for an answer and accept a state that would recognize the legitimacy of the Jewish state next door and conclusively end the conflict, Obama's actions encouraged Abbas to believe that he did not have to make concessions. Every demand from Obama on Israel was taken up by the Palestinians and put forward as a non-negotiable condition for the resumption of talks. Yet even when the Israelis gave in on some points and accepted a settlement freeze, the Palestinians still refused to negotiate.
Previously the Palestinians understood that any progress toward their stated goal of a state must come through the aid of the United States. Yet ironically it was Obama's ham-handed efforts to signal that America was demanding such an outcome without forcing the Palestinians to compromise that convinced Abbas that he could only profit by abandoning the U.S.-sponsored peace process. Obama's determination to distance himself from Israel upset the precarious balance that made an accord at least a theoretical possibility. Though the Palestinians claim they are going to the UN because the peace process failed the truth is what they are doing is an effort to evade negotiations. Obama's weakening of Israel had the effect of undermining America's own diplomatic standing leaving the Palestinians thinking they could ignore Washington's interests. Their UN gambit is a crude maneuver aimed at clipping America's influence in the region.
The debate in the UN this fall is just one more chapter in the ongoing war against Israel. The Palestinians will not get a state from this show and it may well be that Abbas and the Palestinian Authority will lose more from the resulting tumult than anyone else including Netanyahu. But it must also be understood as a profound defeat for American diplomacy that was only made possible by the excessive self-confidence or arrogance even, of Barack Obama.

KIEV (Reuters) - A 77-year-old Ukrainian man won a jar full of sour cream for coming first in a dumpling eating contest and then promptly died, local media reported on Wednesday.
Ivan Mendel ate 10 dumplings in half a minute to win first place and a one-liter jar of sour cream in the contest held in the town of Tokmak in the southeastern Zaporizhya region on September 18, Fakty I Kommentarii newspaper said.
Shortly afterwards, Mendel became unwell and died, according to local news websites.
Dumplings, called "vareniki" in the former Soviet republic, are a staple of Ukrainian cuisine and are often stuffed with a range of fillings from mushrooms to cherries.

Palestinian Authority president admits he is under "huge" international pressure over statehood gambit as US, Russian, EU and UN diplomats meet in ongoing effort to persuade PA to forgo move.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday said that he remains committed to seeking full membership for a Palestinian state at the United Nations despite the fact that that he is facing "huge" international pressure to abandon the plan and he expects "difficult times" in the aftermath of the bid.
"We decided to take this step and all hell has broken out against us," Abbas was quoted by the Ma'an news agency as tellling reporters on his flight to New York.
From TEL AVIV – The Palestinian Authority has information about terrorist attacks being planned to coincide with its bid this week to seek a unilateral declaration of state at the United Nations.
Despite knowledge of which cells may be plotting attacks, the Palestinian Authority has made an internal security decision to not disrupt the violent plans or arrest cell members, informed Israeli security officials said.
The security officials said the plots are being hatched by both Hamas and by renegade members of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the so-called military wing of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party.
Netanyahu is slated to address the U.N. General Assembly on Friday, the same day Abbas will officially submit his statehood bid.
"It's important to go there and tell our truth as a people who want peace and have been attacked so many times," Netanyahu continued.
"I've told the Palestinian Authority chair many times, including yesterday, that the path to peace comes through negotiations and not through unilateral acts. The way to get to the end of negotiations is to start them and stick with them. That's what Israel wanted to do, but the Palestinians refused. There is a growing understanding in the world about what has to be done before a state is created. That's what I will speak about in the UN."
The prime minister insisted that Israel doesn't "want peace just on paper but a lasting peace."
"For that we need to stand up for our interests. It's easier to give in and not stand up and get applauded by the world that doesn't understand what we have been through.
Netanyahu explained his decision to address the U.N. was taken to ensure the Palestinian move to "circumvent negotiations" does not succeed, and "to present our truth, which is that we are not foreigners and we have rights going back 4,000 years."
Netanyahu added, "We are ready to enter negotiations if the Palestinians want to. At the end of the day. I believe that after the smoke clears the Palestinians will come to their senses and sit down for negotiations that will bring peace for us and our neighbors."

All over America today, desperate people are doing desperate things. As the economy continues to crumble, the American people are starting to become very frustrated. Millions have lost their homes and millions have lost their jobs. As hopelessness and despair rise, an increasing number of Americans are turning to crime or are lashing out in unpredictable ways. Many parts of America are rapidly turning into lawless hellholes. In some of the areas that have been the hardest hit by the declining economy, police forces are being severely cut back and desperate criminals are being given a lot of freedom to roam. In fact, in some major cities (such as Oakland, California), the police have announced that there are certain types of crime that they will not even respond to any more. For a couple of decades, crime had been steadily declining in the United States, but now we are seeing very disturbing reports from all over the nation of desperate people doing desperate things as they scramble to survive or as they vent their frustrations. If the examples that you are about to read are any indication, then America is headed down a very dark path.
Today, there are a whole lot of young people that feel as though all hope is gone. Less than 30 percent of all teens had a job this summer. Only 14 percent of Americans that are 28 or 29 years old are optimistic about their financial futures.

The very fabric of American society is starting to come apart, and it is frightening to even think about what is going to happen if the economy gets even worse.

#1 As the price of gold has risen to unprecedented heights, thieves have taken notice. This summer there has been an epidemic of gold robberies in the city of Los Angeles. Store owners have felt forced to significantly beef us security. In fact, store owners have added so much security that at this point "parts of downtown Los Angeles now look more like a militarized zone than a commercial corridor."
But it is not just Los Angeles that is having a major problem with gold robberies. The following is a brief excerpt from a recent article by Thomas Watkins....
In Oakland, police say dozens of women have had gold necklaces yanked from their necks on the street. More than 100 similar thefts have been reported in Los Angeles, a rash of robberies is taking place in St. Paul, Minn., and police in Phoenix say muggers chatted up high school girls then ripped their gold necklaces from them.
“We’ve never seen this,” said Oakland police Sgt. Holly Joshi.
#2 When the level of trust in society starts declining significantly, people start becoming very paranoid. And when people feel constantly threatened, they tend to lash out in unusual ways. For example, one man wearing a Dallas Cowboys jersey actually smuggled a taser into a recent game between the Cowboys and the New York Jets and started zapping people with it.
#3 When people become truly desperate, they also tend to become highly unpredictable. Just consider what Justino Sanchez Diaz did recently during a family dinner....
Before the family gathered for dinner, Sanchez-Diaz soaked the walls of the dining room in gasoline and set cans of gas under the furniture. And when the 13 members of the family sat down to eat, the man came out with a can of kerosene and splashed it all over everyone, then set them on fire with a blowtorch.
#4 When desperation spreads throughout a society, you literally do not know who you can trust. Right now identity theft in the United States is at epidemic levels and it is getting worse. Every time you give someone your information now, there is a chance that your identity could be compromised. Just consider the following example from the state of Texas....
If you have a mind sick enough to rip off desperately ill people, you probably think to yourself, "Cancer patients -- hey, they may die soon, so what'll they care?''
Houston police say Shantel Moore, 29, apparently had that kind of coldhearted and inhumane logic. The Stafford woman worked for Methodist Hospital in Houston, and cops say she stole identity information from cancer patients and used it to get tons of payday loan money.
#5 When thieves get desperate, they also tend to become very bold. A reader named Mark left the following comment on one of my recent articles....
Some tweekers drove up last week looking for scrap metal and one was out of their truck and heading to the shop when I came out of the house. It used to be that strangers would not even cross our bridge or get out of their car wondering about what the dogs would do. Times are changing and not for the better.
#6 In some areas of the country, desperate people are not just searching for scrap metal. As one reader shared recently, there are some parts of the U.S. that are literally being transformed into hellholes by hordes of desperate people....
Here, in the California desert, many vacant houses are being taken over. Fixtures are being ripped out and sold as scrap. Trench latrines are being dug in backyards and water is being pilfered from neighboring pools and hoses. While most of these folks are simply trying to keep a roof over their heads (while they keep their heads down), many are also setting up meth labs and in-door marijuana grows.
I can see the eventual day when the total breakdown of the economy and our society will drive thousands from the cities. A lot of those will be looking for ‘opportunities’.
As sad as it is, if you’re not one of the most unfortunate, it’s time to prepare a defense for your goods, family and self. You are going to be viewed as wealthy, no matter how poor you feel, by someone with nothing left to lose.
Do not rely on police or government authorities. We all saw how that went in New Orleans. Be ready as an individual family unit.
#7 Sadly, family units all over the country are breaking down. The hearts of parents have become very cold. Some people are so desperate that they are even trying to sell their own babies. For example, one grandmother in Florida has been accused of trying to sell her newborn grandson for $75,000.
In another incident, a Vancouver, Washington woman has been charged with trying to sell her newborn baby in front of a Taco Bell. She was only trying to get somewhere between $500 and $5000 for her baby.
#8 What some parents are doing to their children is absolutely horrifying. If you have a weak stomach, you may not want to read this one. In Louisiana recently, a 30-year-old man decapitated his 7-year-old son with a meat cleaver and left his head on the side of the road. What made this crime even more shocking is the fact that his son was suffering from cerebral palsy and was confined to a wheelchair. Reportedly the man had gotten "tired of taking care" of the young child. The following is an excerpt from a Daily Mail report about this horrible crime....
A father has admitted to chopping his son's head off with a meat cleaver and leaving it in the roadside outside his home so that the child's mother would see it.
Keep in mind that the father and son had not had a fight. Rather, the father had just "gotten tired" of taking care of the son.
#9 But it isn't just parents that are becoming cold-hearted. In Georgia recently, a 14-year-old teen stabbed his grandmother and his great-grandmother with a sword. The 77-year-old great grandmother is dead, but it looks like the grandmother is going to be okay.
#10 All over the nation, there are reports of kids killing their parents. A 21-year-old man in the Chicago area is accused of killing his father with a weed trimmer while his father was sleeping in bed.
#11 In one of the most famous cases of parental murder this year, a 17-year-old Florida teen killed his parents with a hammer, hid their bodies in the master bedroom, and then invited dozens of people over for a massive house party.
Did this kind of stuff happen in America 50 or 60 years ago?
#12 Not all desperate people are committing crimes of violence. In fact, some desperate Americans are now purposely committing crimes just so that they can be arrested and receive free medical care.
Yes, you read that correctly. There are 50 million Americans without health insurance and some of them are now purposely breaking the law so that they can go to prison and receive the care that they need. Just consider the following example from an article in the Gaston Gazette....
James Richard Verone woke up June 9 with a sense of anticipation.
He took a shower.
Ironed his shirt.
Hailed a cab.
Then robbed a bank.
He wasn’t especially nervous. If anything, Verone said he was excited to finally execute his plan to gain access to free medical care.
#13 Millions of other desperate Americans are not lashing out or committing crimes at all. Instead, they are just quietly suffering. A reader named Richard recently left a comment in which he shared the desperation that he encountered during a recent trip to the beach....
I was at the beach today, it was almost dark. I watched as a well dressed lady in her 50′s walked onto the public access deck and laid down her things. She looked around to see if she was being observed, felt safe enough to proceed with her shameful task and then she pulled out several small plastic bags. Quickly she went through the trash can and began to remove anything of value, especially aluminum drink cans. That is when I made my way to her. At first she seemed embarrassed, but after I assured her that I sold scrap metal sometimes for extra money, she seemed relieved. She then released a pent up storm of sorrow and hurt as she spoke of her shame and humiliation.
She had recently lost her husband of 32 years and was all alone. She lived in a home she couldn’t afford and was about to lose. Attempts to sell brought only discouragement and despair. “Soon” she said, “I will be homeless.” She said the cans were her insurance, her only means of real survival, since she had already run out of unemployment money. When I tried to offer to help in some way, she suddenly shut me down and refused any help. I told her she wasn’t alone and prayed with her. It certainly made the beach a sad place to be. In the coming months I feel we will all see this same scene played out over and over.
#14 Other Americans have become so desperate that they have given up completely. The following tragic example is from an article posted on MSN Money....
On the morning she realized her husband and son would learn the family was losing their house, Carlene Balderrama, 53, faxed a note to the mortgage company, then went to the basement and shot herself.
"I hope you're more compassionate with my husband than you were with me," she wrote in a suicide note left for the company.
#15 When people get desperate, violence tends to increase. We are starting to see shocking examples of this all over the country. For example, at least 42 people were hit by gunfire in New York City over the Labor Day weekend.
Another disturbing thing that we are seeing is the trend toward mob violence. Previously, I have written about the epidemic of "flash mob" crimes that we are now seeing all over the nation. When large groups of people start banding together to commit violent crimes, that is a very disturbing sign.
#16 When criminals get desperate, they don't care who they attack and they will take everything from you that they can. For example, three young thugs in the Bronx recently beat the living daylights out of a 64-year-old man and took his wallet, his cellphone and even his Bible.
#17 If you are attacked, are you going to call the police? Are you sure that they can be trusted? Even police officers are committing desperate acts these days. Just check out what one police officer in Chicago is charged with doing....
A Chicago Police officer stole $50,000 from his ailing elderly father to pay off his bills and gambling debts and unsuccessfully attempted to swipe his dad’s retirement savings by impersonating him
#18 In the old days, thieves would usually only focus on items of high value. But these days it seems like there is nothing that they will not steal. There have been reports coming in from all over America of thieves stealing air conditioners, drain covers, hair extensions and even embalming fluid.
#19 When people get desperate, they will often do things that they never even imagined that they would be willing to do. In Utah recently, an unemployed 28-year-old man starting running advertisements in which he actually offered to serve as "human prey" for hunters for the bargain price of $10,000. For an additional $2,000, he said that he would be willing to allow hunters to "hunt" him down while running around naked.
#20 When criminals become desperate, they often lose all common sense. In the San Diego area recently, one desperate thief actually tried to rob a 7-11 convenience store while dressed in a Gumby costume. Apparently the clerk thought it was a prank, so the thief tried to pull a weapon but was unable to do so because the costume was too awkward. Police are still searching for the suspect, who is described as being very tall, very green and very thin.
America is quickly becoming a lawless place. Yes, authorities in many areas will attempt to crack down, but what are they going to do when millions of people all start doing desperate things all at once?

The Banana Republic of America, the Third World cesspool that used to be the United States, is a very violent place, but the violence is going to get much, much worse. If the BRA is this dangerous and unstable now, what is it going to be like when our terrible economy becomes even worse and unemployment becomes even higher? It won’t be pretty. As Gerald Celente says, get ready for a lot of violence. We’ll continue to see acts of thuggery for the sake of thuggery (flash mobs), but most of the violence will be profit-motivated: drug violence (hola Sinaloa Cartel, hola Los Zeta y la Familia Michoacana), kidnapping, carjacking, home invasions, armed robbery in broad daylight. Today’s unemployed IT worker is tomorrow’s kidnapper; today’s unemployed construction worker is tomorrow’s drug trafficker or carjacker. The former USA is now a Third World hellhole, and the BRA will have all the violence, poverty, squalor and crime that Third World hellholes are known for.
America used to be the envy of the world.
Now, much of the rest of the world is watching our decline in horror.
When a complete economic collapse finally occurs, what is this country going to look like? Will it be an all-out struggle for survival, or will we be able to handle ourselves fairly well like we did during the Great Depression?
One thing is for sure, this nation is headed in the wrong direction.
So what is the solution to our problems?
One group in Massachusetts thinks that they know what the problem is. Amazingly, they are actually pushing really hard to have the Pledge of Allegiance permanently banned from all public school classrooms in the state.
Apparently the group believes that the Pledge of Allegiance has "no educational value" and that it places "unnecessary pressure" on kids.
This is yet another example of how divided our country has become. We are constantly fighting over really stupid stuff, and meanwhile our nation is rapidly going down the toilet.
Look, our economy is going to get even worse and tens of millions of hurting Americans are going to become even more frustrated.
Something desperately needs to be done to turn this country around.

There is nothing anyone can do. It will get worse. God’s judgement is about to poured out. Not only that, there are inevitable events destined to happen. Repent, ask Jesus Christ to forgive you sins and invite him into your life. You may suffer in this life, but you will be live it up next in Heaven.
Something that could help would be to change the curriculums in our school system. Quit gearing everything toward college. Teach the kids more basic skills so they can feel some kind of usefulness. Carpentry, plumbing or even ditch-digging are necessary parts of any society. Let kids know that they can be successful without being a doctor or lawyer. We’ve taught our children that anything that entails manual labor is beneath them. Thus the illegal immigrant problem.

Here in California its gonna get a lot worse real soon. On October 1, AB 109 takes affect,(Governor Brown signed this legislation earlier this year). It will turn many criminals over to county supervision and reduces many of serious and violent crimes to lesser offenses to reduce the amount of inmates in state prison. They will also soon begin to release up to 40K inmates to comply with the SCOTUS order due to supposed overcrowding in California’s state prisons. I work as a parole agent in Los Angeles and we will not be able to arrest and return many parolees back to prison as before. Once the criminals know they can’t be returned to prison as easily as before, they’ll commit even more crimes.
I hope the rich enjoy their gilded compounds they dare not leave, like Escape From New York. Or Road Warrior.
That with Mexico and the drug lords will spread. They are effectively in control of their towns i.e. the government has failed in those areas. Watch that cancer grow.
What do you expect when Hollywood shows a man dying of cancer, make drugs so he can provide for his family. It keeps getting more and more violent. On top of that they keep saying how it is the best show on television. I personally do not watch the show nor do I want to but I am still subject to the previews and advertisements. As a nation we need to stop watching garbage like that and stop supporting that kind of drama.
Its frightening to think it’s just the beginning of things to come. As people do become more desperate they are willing to do things they wouldn’t normally do. The difference i see between the great depression and things now is that people back then had more of a moral fabric then people do today. And perhaps their world was smaller in a sense then it is these days with the internet. So do i see the people banding together to make it through the tough times ahead ? No!! I see them becoming increasingly hostile towards one another and will to do whatever they can to survive. If an economy crashes its no longer the crisp 100 dollar bill in your wallet that will hold value, it is the precious resources you have, food, water, gas etc. And people will do whatever they can to get those things. I hope it never gets to that point but all signs point to a meltdown unless drastic changes are made to close the gap between the Haves and the Have-Nots!!! There is only so much people can take before they reach a breaking point and when that happens i see an'every man for himself' kind of scenario. It’s a bleak outlook to say the least. But then again, maybe I'm just paranoid and things will change…..well one can Dream! ________________________________________________________

Today the Palestinians are conflicted. ½ say it's not such a good idea, while ½ feel this way: "Palestinians vowed Thursday to seek full membership at the United Nations next week, despite Israeli and U.S. objections, but left open the possibility of a resumption of Mideast peace talks." We'll have to wait and see what happens there.
For sure we know Obama will be thinking about how the world will react if /when he opposes Palestinian statehood. In my mind he's still gonna push for a peace treaty.
Then I heard this: -Hal Lindsay said this week that Israel has 8 NEUTRON BOMBS! That just floored me! I always wondered what could ever be a reason for a peace treaty with Israel to be signed. What could be a reason for everyone else to agree for peace with Israel? I always figured, maybe they'll find gold there, or oil, or diamonds, or something valuable. But now I think it will be from FEAR! (if Hal Lindsay knows about the bombs, then everyone else does too.)

(CNN) -- A 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Vancouver Island, British Columbia, on Friday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The center of the earthquake was approximately 175 miles west of the city of Vancouver and nearly 50 miles underground.
Many people on Vancouver Island felt the quake, especially those in high-rises, which swayed back and forth, said John Cassidy of the Geological Survey in Victoria, British Columbia. He described the quake as originating 30 miles offshore.
The shaking lasted 10 to 20 seconds, Cassidy said, and there were no reports of damage or injuries Friday afternoon.
Earthquakes of such magnitude happen every decade or so, he said.
There was no immediate danger of a tsunami as a result of the earthquake, authorities at the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said. •

McDonald's McNuggets made with 'Silly Putty' chemical
What kid doesn't love McDonald's Chicken McNuggets? The white meat chunks are tasty and perfect for little mouths and hands. And while most parents are aware that McNuggets aren't perfectly healthy, they probably don't know exactly what goes into making them.
CNN has revealed that the fast-food chain makes this popular menu item with the chemical preservative tBHQ, tertiary butylhydroquinone, a petroleum-based product. Mcnuggets also contain dimethylpolysiloxane, "an anti-foaming agent" also used in Silly Putty.
Across the Atlantic in Britain, McNuggets don't contain these chemicals and they're less fattening.

McDonald's says the differences are based on the local tastes: In the United States, McNuggets are coated and then cooked, in the United Kingdom, they are cooked and then coated. As a result, the British McNuggets absorb less oil and have less fat.
Dimethylpolysiloxane is used as a matter of safety to keep the oil from foaming, [Lisa McComb, who handles global media relations for McDonald's,] says. The chemical is a form of silicone also used in cosmetics and Silly Putty. A review of animal studies by The World Health Organization found no adverse health effects associated with dimethylpolysiloxane.
TBHQ is a preservative for vegetable oils and animal fats, limited to .02 percent of the oil in the nugget. One gram (one-thirtieth of an ounce) can cause "nausea, vomiting, ringing in the ears, delirium, a sense of suffocation, and collapse," according to "A Consumer's Dictionary of Food Additives."
Does this mean that you should keep your kids away from McNuggets altogether?
Marion Nestle, a New York University professor and author of "What to Eat," told CNN that the tertiary butylhydroquinone and dimethylpolysiloxane in the McNuggets probably pose no health risks. But she added that as a general rule parents shouldn't feed their children foods with an ingredients you can't pronounce.
Try pronouncing dimethylpolysiloxane...it's not easy.

I have always maintained that the liberal media is Satan's most effective tool for guiding and controlling society. It is the flesh and bone of spiritual forces that seek to guide and corrupt our society. In the past few years, the liberal media seems to have become more active in fulfilling the will of its master.
It is almost pointless to try to combat the social and political ills unless you take into consideration the liberal media. It has the power to set the rules. By putting its thumb on the scale, it can determine the winner of most public debates.
The finger of blame is rarely ever pointed at the liberal media for society's ills. This is because the press is in charge of fixing the blame. Letting the liberal media decide if it’s partly to blame for our country's moral decline is like putting tobacco companies in charge of finding out what causes lung cancer.
The liberal media is so powerful I would say the seats of power aren’t in Washington D.C. and the state capitals. The real power is in the media headquarters of New York and Hollywood. The enemy doesn't get a law passed that supports homosexuals by directly convincing politicians that it’s a good thing to have. The devil uses the liberal media to make society tolerant of the gay lifestyle, and the political process is just a reflection of the change.
One of the best examples of how the liberal media influences politics is the presidency of Obama. Back in 2008, the press was in ecstasy over Obama’s speaking skills. They couldn't decide if he was the reincarnation of Churchill, FDR, or Jesus Christ. Three years later, the Great Orator has turned into an absolute disaster. While Obama was still running for office, I knew that he would be a poor leader by the fact that he was indecisive, voting "present" nearly 130 times as state senator.
The liberal media also has the power to weed out candidates it doesn't like. Ron Paul is the best example for the 2012 presidential race. Last month, Ron Paul came in second in the Iowa straw poll. The press totally ignored him. CNN even joked on air about how worthless it would be to get footage of Paul making a speech. The liberal media is blocking his candidacy because he wants to abolish the Federal Reserve and limit the power of the government.
The liberal media's most cunning work is in the area of moral decay. It can blend its agenda (rat poison) into network programming, and most people can't even tell they are being fed liberal propaganda. Recently, I was flipping through channels, and I came across a show on the Food Network that was about the making of cakes. The cake I saw had two women on it, and I quickly realized it was for two lesbians who were planning on getting hitched. Since less than 1 percent of marriages involve same-sex couples, it was obvious that the producers of the show had chosen to use their time slot to present gay marriage as something normal.
Last week, ABC selected Chaz Bono to be part of the new season of Dancing with the Stars. Bono is the only child of entertainers Sonny and Cher. Being the daughter of celebrities doesn't mean you are a star. The fact that Chaz is now a dude is all the qualification he/she needs to hit the dance floor. Carson Kressley, another contestant, is openly gay--so maybe ABC is having a "queer and freak" theme for the new lineup. You would think the purpose of the show would be to seek out the best and most famous dancers. ABC is obviously following some other criteria.
The most diabolical role the liberal media plays is in the war against our civil liberties. During the past few years, the government has been relentlessly encroaching on our freedoms, all in the name of public safety. The press has simply looked the other way while Big Brother takes over. It should be obvious to any fool that there is something wrong about TSA agents molesting people at the airport. Since the liberal media never raised a stink about this new security measure, people have resigned themselves to think it's okay.
The liberal media will be a major player in end-time events. When the Antichrist finally does come to power, the press will be tripping over itself to report his every word.

It's played off by saying they are getting speeders on the freeway...No. That's ridiculous. Thousands of dollars of jet fuel to bust a few people with traffic tickets? Doesn't make sense. Parents of seven told: Your children are too fat, so you will never see them again

'Four obese children are on the brink of being permanently removed from their family by social workers after their parents failed to bring their weight under control.
In the first case of its kind, their mother and father now face what they call the ‘unbearable’ likelihood of never seeing them again. Their three daughters, aged 11, seven and one, and five-year-old son, will either be ‘fostered without contact’ or adopted.'
The couple, who have been married for nearly 20 years and are not being named to protect their children’s identities, were given a ‘draconian’ ultimatum three years ago – as reported at the time by The Mail on Sunday.
Warned that the children must slim or be placed in care, the family spent two years living in a council-funded ‘Big Brother’ house in which they were constantly supervised and the food they ate monitored.

But despite subjecting them to intense scrutiny, social workers did not impose rules on what food the children should eat, and there was apparently little or no improvement.
News of the decision to remove them was broken to the couple, from Dundee, on Tuesday. Critics called it a disgraceful breach of human rights and a chilling example of the power of the State to meddle in family life.
In an emotional interview, the 42-year-old mother said: ‘We might not be the perfect parents, but we love our children with all our hearts. To face a future where we will never see them again is unbearable.
‘They picked on us because of our size to start with and they just haven’t let go, despite the fact we’ve done everything to lose weight and meet their demands. We’re going to fight this to the bitter end. It feels like even prisoners have more human rights than we do.’
The couple have not committed any crime and are not accused of deliberate cruelty or abuse. Their solicitor, Joe Myles, said there was ‘nothing sinister lurking in the background’ and accused social workers of failing to act in the family’s best interests.
‘Dundee social services department appear to have locked horns with this couple and won’t let go,’ he said, adding that the monitoring project caused more problems than it solved. ‘The parents were constantly being accused of bad parenting and made to live under a microscope.

The couple have three older children who are all distraught and angry at the ruling.
Speaking through tears, their 15-year-old daughter said: ‘The social workers should hang their heads in shame. A person’s weight is their own business and only we can do anything about it, not them. My parents are good people and they love us all. The four little ones don’t know what is about to happen to them.’
Social workers became aware of the family in early 2008 after one of the sons accused his father of hitting him on the forehead. In truth, he had fallen and hit his head on a radiator – a fact he later admitted. However, the allegation opened the door to the obesity investigation.
While the couple admit experiencing what their lawyer calls ‘low grade’ parenting problems, which would have merited support, they were aghast when the issue of weight was seized on as a major concern.
A council report at the time said: ‘With the exception of [one of the names], the children are all overweight. Advice has been given regarding diet but there has been no improvement. Appointments with the dietician have been missed.’

At that point their then 12-year-old son weighed 16 stone; his 11-year-old sister weighed 12 stone; and his three-year-old sister weighed four stone. It is not known how much the four younger children weigh now.
The couple were ordered to send their children to dance and football lessons and were given a three-month deadline to bring down their weight. When that failed, the children were placed in foster homes but were allowed to visit their parents.
After the couple objected to this arrangement, the council agreed to move them into a two-bedroom flat in a supported unit run by the Dundee Families Project. They insisted on the couple living with only three of their children at a time.
At meal times, a social worker stood in the room taking notes. Doctors raised concerns that the children put on weight whenever they spent time with their parents, a claim they vehemently denied.
The couple and their children also had to adhere to a strict 11pm curfew. This involved ‘clocking’ in and out by filling in a sheet held by an employee who lived on site.
Although the children’s weight was the major concern, other allegations were included in a report. It showed that social workers were worried when the youngest child was found crawling unsupervised. The parents point out they were never far away and the flat had no stairs.
They also found her ‘attempting to put dangerous objects’ in her mouth. The family say this is natural in toddlers and she was never successful.
To have a social worker stand and watch you eat is intolerable. I want other families to know what can happen once social workers become involved. We will fight them to the end to get our beloved children back.
Social workers were further worried when she crawled through the contents of an upturned ashtray – an ‘unfortunate one-off incident’, claim the parents. All the concerns were dismissed by the family’s legal team as ‘low grade’ problems.
It is understood the father crumbled under the strain of being so closely monitored in January this year and moved into a council flat elsewhere in the city.
In the next few months, the mother breached the lunch and dinner meal observations, by her own admission, on ‘several’ occasions while taking the children to see their father.
She personally never broke the 11pm curfew but once allowed her seven-year-old daughter to remain at her father’s flat after she fell asleep. She did not want to disturb her and argued the child had ‘two parents, not one’ and was in ‘good hands’.
These breaches led staff to declare the trial a failure and the mother was asked to leave the unit in April this year. She moved in to her husband’s flat but the children were then handed over to foster parents.
Her solicitor said he planned to use independent experts to prove that the children want to live with their parents and have been damaged by the social workers’ intervention. He added: ‘We may ultimately look towards human rights laws.’
The father, aged 56, said: ‘We have tried very hard to do everything that was asked of us. My wife has cooked healthy foods like home-made spaghetti bolognese and mince and potatoes; we’ve cut out snacks and only ever allowed the kids sweets on a Saturday. But nothing we’ve done has ever been enough.
‘The pressure of living in the family unit would have broken anyone. We were being treated like children and cut off from the outside world. To have a social worker stand and watch you eat is intolerable. I want other families to know what can happen once social workers become involved. We will fight them to the end to get our beloved children back.’
It is estimated 26 million British adults will be obese by 2030, with obesity levels running at an all-time high among children. Official statistics show those who are overweight spend 50 per cent more time in hospital, placing extra strain on the NHS.
Tam Fry, honorary chairman of the Child Growth Foundation, said: ‘This is a disgrace. These parents have clearly attempted to comply. They have, if you like, played Dundee City Council’s game and yet they are still losing their children.’
Dundee City Council said: ‘The council always acts in the best interests of children, with their welfare and safety in mind.’ •

British scientists say they use up more fuel to transport them around and the amount of food they eat requires more energy to produce than that consumed by those on smaller diets.
According to a team at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine this adds to food shortages and higher energy prices.
Researchers Phil Edwards said: “We are all becoming heavier and it is a global responsibility. Obesity is a key part of the big picture."
Mr Edwards and his colleague Ian Roberts argue that because thinner people eat less and are more likely to walk than rely on cars, a slimmer population would lower demand for fuel and food.
Because 20 percent of greenhouse gas stems from agriculture any reduction in food consumption would help cut emissions.
Edwards and Roberts found that obese people need 1,680 daily calories to sustain normal energy and another 1,280 calories to maintain daily activities, 18 percent more than someone with a healthy body mass index.
At least 400 million adults worldwide are obese. The World Health Organization (WHO) projects by 2015, 2.3 billion adults will be overweight and more than 700 million will be obese.
In their model, the researchers estimate 40 percent of the global population is obese, with a body mass index of 30 or over.
The normal range is usually considered to be 18 to 25, with more than 25 considered overweight and above 30 obese.
"Promotion of a normal distribution of BMI would reduce the global demand for, and thus the price of, food," Edwards and Roberts wrote in the latest edition of The Lancet.
But some nutrition and obesity experts said the research ignores more important reasons for increased food production.
"We throw away far more food that the extra 460 calories per day they point out," said Dr. Tim Church, chairman in health wisdom at Louisiana State University.
"In other words, most of our food overproduction is due to waste, not overeating.
"It is estimated that one-fourth of the food produced in the U.S. goes to waste. Does having 50 extra pounds in a Chevy Tahoe really affect gas mileage? I do not think so."
Keith-Thomas Ayoob, paediatric nutritionist and associate professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, said: "Obese people have enough issues to deal with without being demonized for their impact on the environment. The truth is all people are an environmental burden.“ •

There is nothing anyone can do. It will get worse. God’s judgement is about to poured out. Not only that, there are inevitable events destined to happen. Repent, ask Jesus Christ to forgive you sins and invite him into your life. You may suffer in this life, but you will be live it up next in Heaven.
Something that could help would be to change the curriculums in our school system. Quit gearing everything toward college. Teach the kids more basic skills so they can feel some kind of usefulness. Carpentry, plumbing or even ditch-digging are necessary parts of any society. Let kids know that they can be successful without being a doctor or lawyer. We’ve taught our children that anything that entails manual labor is beneath them. Thus the illegal immigrant problem.

Here in California its gonna get a lot worse real soon. On October 1, AB 109 takes affect,(Governor Brown signed this legislation earlier this year). It will turn many criminals over to county supervision and reduces many of serious and violent crimes to lesser offenses to reduce the amount of inmates in state prison. They will also soon begin to release up to 40K inmates to comply with the SCOTUS order due to supposed overcrowding in California’s state prisons.
I work as a parole agent in Los Angeles and we will not be able to arrest and return many parolees back to prison as before. Once the criminals know they can’t be returned to prison as easily as before, they’ll commit even more crimes.

That with Mexico and the drug lords will spread. They are effectively in control of their towns i.e. the government has failed in those areas. Watch that cancer grow.

What do you expect when Hollywood shows a man dying of cancer, make drugs so he can provide for his family. It keeps getting more and more violent. On top of that they keep saying how it is the best show on television. I personally do not watch the show nor do I want to but I am still subject to the previews and advertisements. As a nation we need to stop watching garbage like that and stop supporting that kind of drama.
Its frightening to think it’s just the beginning of things to come. As people do become more desperate they are willing to do things they wouldn’t normally do. The difference i see between the great depression and things now is that people back then had more of a moral fabric then people do today. And perhaps their world was smaller in a sense then it is these days with the internet. So do i see the people banding together to make it through the tough times ahead ? No!! I see them becoming increasingly hostile towards one another and will to do whatever they can to survive. If an economy crashes its no longer the crisp 100 dollar bill in your wallet that will hold value, it is the precious resources you have, food, water, gas etc. And people will do whatever they can to get those things. I hope it never gets to that point but all signs point to a meltdown unless drastic changes are made to close the gap between the Haves and the Have-Nots!!! There is only so much people can take before they reach a breaking point and when that happens i see an'every man for himself' kind of scenario. It’s a bleak outlook to say the least. But then again, maybe I'm just paranoid and things will change…..well one can Dream! ________________________________________________________
